Stay Away!!!
by Mark M.
In January of 2009 attended a travel club presentation through Grand Discovery in Asheville NC. We decided their deal was not a deal and took the promotional free 2 airline tickets and 2 hotel nights through Millenium Travel. After many months of jumping through their fine print, we finally got word from them abuot our trip (in October of 2009). Their fees totalled $904.16. In 5 minutes online I was able to price a total trip airfare, fees, taxes, hotel, and food, at $918.97. This is nothing but a scam and their customer no-service is rude and obnoxious quoting 100s of happy cutomers. Take a look at the total BBB complaints before deciding whether or not to do business with these people. Since Grand Discovery says they are not affiliated with Millenium Travel they are not responsible for that promotion. I say otherwise, if you advertise it you are responsible. Stay away.

Grand Discovery Consultants is Shady!
by A. C.
These people are scam artist for sure! They called my cell phone this afternoon, telling me that I was automatically entered in a computerized drawing from making a purchase using my major credit card. I don't have any major credit cards; I make all of my purchases with cash or debit card. However, I let him continue... I supposedly had the choice of selecting a 2009 Lincoln Navi, $45,000 or a 6 night cruise and I only needed to go to their Ashville, NC location, to fill out a short survey, show my ID and the major credit card that I use for purchases. After he finished I informed him that I don't have a major credit card and he hung up on me... Unbelievable!

The Williams
by William W.
We too received the freebee gas voucher and airline tickets. We redeemed the airline tickets and flew to Denver in February. The gas vouchers never panned out and our last receipts were returned undeliverable. We called Grand Discovery last week and spoke with a lady named Carry. She took our name and number and said someone would be back in touch with us from the marketing company who paid for the gas vouchers. They called within 24 hours and helped us out. We did not buy the membership they were selling because my husband's brother already has a membership and we use theirs to travel to Myrtle Beach when we want to go and get a big savings.

Grand Discovery - waste of time
by Mary W.
We went to one of their sessions and were subjected to a night of hard sell tactics trying to get us to sign up on the spot. The "free" airline tickets have many extra fees and so many blockout dates that less than half of the days in a year were available. In addition, the freebeegas vouchers are a scam. I sent in five months of receipts, have not received a gas card, and their phone number is disconnected. I would be very wary of dealing with Grand Discovery - there are just too many hidden fees and restrictions, too much pressure, and outright scams involved.

Good Experience
by Mary C.
Went to their office this past weekend where they told us about a travel club. We didn't buy it but our friends who went did. They called today and got a two bedroom condominium in the outer banks the first week in March for $300 for seven nights. We called back today and left a message that we wanted to buy a membership to!

Told Everything Upfront
by Elizabeth R.
We were told everything upfront about the airline tickets including the fees that were associated with it. Everyone was nice and pleasant when we talked to them. We bought the membership and have used it a couple of times now. We have been very happy with it. They even took is in a private room after the sales pitch and explained everything one more time in detail and made sure we understood everything. We like it. We liked the music too!

Dont believe it--Nothing in life is free!!
by M. B.
I got their promotional mailer offering free plane tickets, went to their sales pitch, and sat through the whole 90min. presentation in an uncomfortably hot room all while being subjected to horrible steel drum "Island muzak". Sorry I cant afford a $10,000 travel club membership--Instead of receiving my "no strings attached" plane tickets, I got travel vouchers that I had to send back within 21 days and include $65 per ticket (non-refundable) to cover "taxes and fees." I also had to choose three alternate travel dates (at least 45 days apart) and they would supposedly send me the tickets only two weeks before the travel date, without any other prior notification (and other fees may have applied according to the info). The amount of legal jargon that I had to agree to in order to receive the tickets was scary enough to turn me away and dont even ask about the $150 gas rebates! Its all a scam to get you in there, but I bet if you buy their product they probably give you a different (and better) package! Their loss, I certainly will never recommend their business to anyone--DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!
