Worse customer service ever! The manager, Ben Grindstaff at the Simpsonville location is a terrible business man and a liar! Wish I had done my homework before driving an hour to get there! How could people even work at a place that is so terrible? There's lots of places that's hiring right now. Why would you be associated with a business like this one??

The best thing you can do is to run away from these people just as fast as possible and disregard any of the 'shill' favorable reviews that you may find here. The second best thing is to make the appointment and DO NOT show up. By wasting their time maybe they will pack up and leave town - hopefully without your hard-earned money. IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, THEN IT PROBABLY IS. The tablet computer they promise is more like this Etch-a-Sketch. lol

Holy cow! I got the post card free cruise. Called and made the appt. then did my homework on the company. After reading reviews from several websites I decided to cancel the appt. I did the courtesy of calling and canceling and instead of them thanking me I got yelled at, she would not let me talk when I tried to butt in she said mam mam let me finish I said no and she kept on I ended up hanging up on her. Boy did I make the right decision to cancel. Sure hope they tape there conversation for superiors to listen to, she should be fired but maybe they are all high pressure sales people there.

There should be laws that stop companies like this , all they do is lie through their teeth . If you read the contract that they give you to sign off on , it changes everything . The air fair , cruises , hotel , tours and entertainment are complimentary , which means they will soon go away . So then all you have is condos , This is nothing but time shares with a lie to get you in . ask them , I did and they admitted it . This is a SCAM big time .....

Is there anybody out there from the Chattanooga, Tennessee area that has been to one of these "seminars" and has seen or been introduced to James "Rocky" Pridgen? I'm doing a follow-up story on him, and you must be from the Chattanooga area, and attended one of these time-share, or vacation travel seminars and got hit up for a lot of money. I need to talk to you ASAP. Again, Chattanooga-area, ONLY. I am at csneed@newschannel9.com

After going to one of their "presentations" I did my homework. Although it cost me nothing but time, I should not have wasted it and what saddened me is that there were a lot of older folks there. People, this is a scam run by none other than the infamous James "Rocky" Pridgen. He has been in court many times and simply changes business names and locations. Please tell everyone who gets one of their ads to stay away. Here is some enlightening info about the man I met there.

Incredibly HUGE waste of time!! They use all the fake, phony and deceitful selling techniques. You know, like this one:
"Hey, don't let anyone else around you know this, but I was able to get with my boss and get the enrollment price reduce to just $1995.00"
The original fee was $9995.00! After I said I could not afford it, they came back and said that they were able to give me the remaining enrollment of someone who bailed on them and they lowered it to $995.00.
This is a total SCAM! PLUS, the "laptop" that you get, is a worthless little Windows CE netbook circa 2002 that totally SUCKS!!
STAY AWAY from these A$$HOLES.

These people have horrible reviews all over the internet and my experience with them has been nothing short of harassment. After seeing what others have said, my wife decided there was no way she was wasting her time with them. Since, I have received 10 phone calls from them about my "Unclaimed" trip. They will not accept NO for an answer and continue to harass us.

I attended the presentation and decided to join! This was the best decision I could have made for our family!!! We have gone several places we never could have imagined going until now. The places were beautiful and my kids are safe. We are going to Las Vegas after Christmas!!!

My husband and I attended the 90 minute presentation last night. The sales consultant was very nice and said up front this plan may not be for everyone. We listened and although it sounded like we could save money on vacations it just wasn't the way we usually travel (one week at the same place). We declined, we were thanked for coming and left with our airline vouchers. No hassle.

We bought the membership they are selling and have gone to Orlanda in Feb with our parents in a 3 bedroom. We are planning a trip to Panama City for spring break. We could not be happier with the program. Everything we get is at least 50 percent off the regular price. We checked at Orange Lake Country Club in Feb and the regular price was over 2 thousand dollars for the week we had and it was only 600 using our membership.

I am a relatively new member to Grand Discovery, and though I've only used it once, it was a wonderful trip. The girls couldn't have been more helpful in making the arrangements. I didn't have any issues, so I don't understand what the fuss is about. We read over our paperwork, did what was called for, and had no problems. As far as the "marketing gift" we recieved, yes it got us in the door to listen to the presentation, but when we got home and checked it out, realized it wasn't for us. After all, anyone who believes they're getting something FOR NOTHING is naive. There are always "terms" to something like that.
I'm just glad we went, or we would have missed out on this opportunity. Why don't more people know about this ?????

We received a card in the mail asking us to come in and listen to a presentation. I called the number on the card and was told Grand Discovery was a new travel agency in our area that was looking for customers. So, we visited the place tonight and listened to a 90+ minute presentation. The initial cost offered to us to sign up for their plan was $10,000. When we indicated that was too high, they kept offering a lower signup cost until finally we were offered to only pay $2400 to sign up. We passed. The vouchers they gave us are too much of a hassle to complete and use. The free cruise would cost, at a minimum, $422 up front, with the good time of the year blocked out and we wouldn't be told if we were booked on the cruise until 30-45 days before departure. The Visa gift card of $300 was given to you in monthly $20 incrememts providing you continued to fill the monthly forms and receipts out correctly. Otherwise, the discounts Grand Discovery claims it can get you on cruises, hotels and resorts might very well pay for your signup fee within a year or two depending on how much you used Grand Discovery's services. We did not sign up. My main concern was I knew nothing about the company and it wasn't clear to me that they could get the large discounts to the resorts we were interested in visiting.

We bought a membership into Grand Resort Travel and are very happy with it. We are going to Ireland this summer and staying in a 3 bedroom house. The savings on this trip alone is equal to what we paid for the membership

In January of 2009 attended a travel club presentation through Grand Discovery in Asheville NC. We decided their deal was not a deal and took the promotional free 2 airline tickets and 2 hotel nights through Millenium Travel. After many months of jumping through their fine print, we finally got word from them abuot our trip (in October of 2009). Their fees totalled $904.16. In 5 minutes online I was able to price a total trip airfare, fees, taxes, hotel, and food, at $918.97. This is nothing but a scam and their customer no-service is rude and obnoxious quoting 100s of happy cutomers. Take a look at the total BBB complaints before deciding whether or not to do business with these people. Since Grand Discovery says they are not affiliated with Millenium Travel they are not responsible for that promotion. I say otherwise, if you advertise it you are responsible. Stay away.

These people are scam artist for sure! They called my cell phone this afternoon, telling me that I was automatically entered in a computerized drawing from making a purchase using my major credit card. I don't have any major credit cards; I make all of my purchases with cash or debit card. However, I let him continue... I supposedly had the choice of selecting a 2009 Lincoln Navi, $45,000 or a 6 night cruise and I only needed to go to their Ashville, NC location, to fill out a short survey, show my ID and the major credit card that I use for purchases. After he finished I informed him that I don't have a major credit card and he hung up on me... Unbelievable!

We too received the freebee gas voucher and airline tickets. We redeemed the airline tickets and flew to Denver in February. The gas vouchers never panned out and our last receipts were returned undeliverable. We called Grand Discovery last week and spoke with a lady named Carry. She took our name and number and said someone would be back in touch with us from the marketing company who paid for the gas vouchers. They called within 24 hours and helped us out. We did not buy the membership they were selling because my husband's brother already has a membership and we use theirs to travel to Myrtle Beach when we want to go and get a big savings.

We went to one of their sessions and were subjected to a night of hard sell tactics trying to get us to sign up on the spot. The "free" airline tickets have many extra fees and so many blockout dates that less than half of the days in a year were available. In addition, the freebeegas vouchers are a scam. I sent in five months of receipts, have not received a gas card, and their phone number is disconnected. I would be very wary of dealing with Grand Discovery - there are just too many hidden fees and restrictions, too much pressure, and outright scams involved.

Went to their office this past weekend where they told us about a travel club. We didn't buy it but our friends who went did. They called today and got a two bedroom condominium in the outer banks the first week in March for $300 for seven nights. We called back today and left a message that we wanted to buy a membership to!

We were told everything upfront about the airline tickets including the fees that were associated with it. Everyone was nice and pleasant when we talked to them. We bought the membership and have used it a couple of times now. We have been very happy with it. They even took is in a private room after the sales pitch and explained everything one more time in detail and made sure we understood everything. We like it. We liked the music too!

We have used the membership for 3 years and are very happy. We like that the employees there are so happy. Every time we call to use th emembership the same employees are there. We have talked to the same customer service person for 2 years and she is great. Went to Daytona Beach for our anniversary and Krisite knew it and had flowers waiting for us.. they didn't have to do that. We always get personalized service. Our son in law and daughter took his son to Alexandria VA for the week of July 4th 2 years ago. They were less than a block from the Metro and could ride it into to DC to see the sites. They were at the fireworks on the mall and they said it was something they will never forget. They only paid 500 for the whole week! They saved so much money they could afford to fly instead of drive and rented a limo from the airport! Kristie helped them with all of that!

I've been a member since 2003. I've averaged over a thousand in savings per condo rental. I've been to Wlliamsburg va. , twice. Orlando, kissimmee, daytona, st. augustine and key west, fla.. Three times I've vacationed at Mrytle beach and two cruises to the bahama's. I've booked vacations for my three adult children and have also let my friends use it. They gave me a $50 dollar diner card to the Outback for coming in to see their club. We were treated very nice!

I got their promotional mailer offering free plane tickets, went to their sales pitch, and sat through the whole 90min. presentation in an uncomfortably hot room all while being subjected to horrible steel drum "Island muzak". Sorry I cant afford a $10,000 travel club membership--Instead of receiving my "no strings attached" plane tickets, I got travel vouchers that I had to send back within 21 days and include $65 per ticket (non-refundable) to cover "taxes and fees." I also had to choose three alternate travel dates (at least 45 days apart) and they would supposedly send me the tickets only two weeks before the travel date, without any other prior notification (and other fees may have applied according to the info). The amount of legal jargon that I had to agree to in order to receive the tickets was scary enough to turn me away and dont even ask about the $150 gas rebates! Its all a scam to get you in there, but I bet if you buy their product they probably give you a different (and better) package! Their loss, I certainly will never recommend their business to anyone--DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!
