The Children's Discovery Museum

I would say to try not to go on a rainy day they seem to be busy those days. The younger kid building is well for younger kids, it is decorated rooms and unless your kids are really into make believe then it wouldnt really work for you. My family loves the older kid building (i still bring my 2 year old even though they say 5 and up and she loves it) There are lots of things to do, things they can take home with them and it is a much larger space. One downfall is the price it is $9 a person for anyone and everyone over 12 months. But I have found ways around that one, they have lots of discounts... MTA members get in free, and $ off for AAA, that seems to get the price down, also when I plan ahaid I can talk to the library and they have a pass which gets you in for half price for the first building and free for the second. I would say if you can get a library pass it is worth the trip and going into both buildings, other than that the cost is a little too high.

The Children's discovery Museum is a very entertaining and enriching place to take your children. There are two separate museums that you can visit: children's discovery and the Science museum. They have several rooms set up for different types of interactive play - train room, infant and toddler room. There are lots of hands on exhibits making this a big hit with youngsters. they have lots of programs and events throughout the year. Be sure to check their website if you are planning a visit as they may have some blackout periods due to field trips and upgrades. You can also have your child's birthday party here - a great fun alternative for you kids!Conveniently located off Rt 2 with ample parking.

This a wonderful place to bring your kids! It is housed in an old Victorian house and everyroom is a different theme. They iclude a sensory room for infants and toddlers, Bessie's Diner, Safari room, train room and the USS Discovery. Children are encouraged to explore all the different rooms, hallways and even the closets. A great place for kids to just explore and "discover".
Check for hours and availablility- they often have school groups in.
