Before we met Carrie and Ivan at The Doghouse our dog Patch was making our lives miserable. He is a rescue dog and had bad habits that came along with him, so we were looking for a way to fix his problems rather than disrupt his life again by returning him to the rescue group. After having Carrie evaluate him and talk with us extensively about what we wanted to get out of the program, we decided to enroll him in Full Service Training. We can honestly say that decision has changed our lives for the best. Patch's obedience quickly progressed while he was in the program that we decided to enroll our other dog, Bud, too. When Patch came home after completing his training he was like a different dog. He went from a dog that we were thinking of having put down due to aggression problems to being a happy, well-mannered boy. We still work with him on a daily basis to remind him of what he is supposed to do, but the change in him is nothing short of amazing. Bud also seemed to enjoy his time at The Doghouse, and his obedience is much more consistent now than ever in the past. We regularly get compliments on how well behaved both dogs are. We highly recommend the training provided by The Doghouse and are reminded every day of how glad we are to have found someone who could help us with our dogs. Whether you have a dog with behavior problems or one that just needs to learn obedience skills, you can be sure that Carrie and Ivan will do everything possible to help your dog succeed and be a happy, productive member of your family.

We initially took our dog Juno to meet with Carrie and Ivan for a behavior consult. Juno was a 16 month old Dutch Shepherd that was out of control. He terrorized our family with frequent bites and random acts of aggressive behavior toward us on a daily basis. He was virtually uncontrollable on walks as well. Pedestrians,byclists, other dogs etc.. were also fair game for his aggressive behavior. He continually lunged at the end of his leash,barking at his victim, and when he couldn't get them, he turned his frustration on whoever was walking him.The final straw was when he learned he could pull away from us. I was truly afraid of my own dog and what he might do to somebody. He had already been to two different trainers with absolutely no results and if not for The Doghouse Juno would have been euthanised . They had the knowledge and insight to see through these behaviors,and uncover a misunderstood dog that just needed direction. Juno is now a wonderful companion that is reliably obedient every where I take him. Whether its on leash walking around town or off leash hiking/jogging in parks and trails I am confident in Juno's solid training and obedience in all situations. We both look forward to working together daily and Juno loves it!. Ironically, Juno and I are looking forward to personal protection training .The Doghouse is the real deal for you and your dog. True proffessionals in every way.

We had both of our dogs (Aussie-mix and a Lab-mix) trained (in obedience) by Ivan/Carrie during a 3-week boot camp and I cannot convey the gratitude we have for them and their business based on the results.

Our Aussie was a tough very nut to crack, and we remain so very pleased with the results (even years later) - they are hands-down the best training facility in the area; after two failed attempts with other renowned trainers, Ivan and Carrie literally transformed our dogs from out-of-control (Aussie) and lazy/stubborn (Lab) into two dogs that we continuously receive compliments on for their behavior.

We were so impressed by The Doghouse that we have consistently recommended them to any/all of our dog-loving friends, and board our dogs there when on vacation, due to the dedicated attention and 'touch up' schooling they receive while there.

Ivan and Carrie have become part of our and our dogs' lives, and we cannot thank them enough - I'd recommend them hands-down to anyone who asks, and put them up against anyone else in quality for the dollars spent.

We've been taking our German shepherd to Ivan and Carrie at The Doghouse for a little over a year, for obedience and Schutzhund training. If a PhD existed for dog training, they would write the books. Ivan and Carrie make the Dog Whisperer look like an amateur. I highly recommend The Doghouse to any dog owners of any breeds, looking for basic to advanced obedience and protection training.
