Bamboozled, TJ the sales man from Flower Mound screwed me over. My experience was a sales person told me I could pay for the first month than stop with out having to pay for anymore months. He even let me know that there was no contract, showed me 60 dollars the first month and than 68 dollars something for there on out and said you would not have to worry about that because you will only pay for the first month. I found out later that the computer signature that I signed had a part in it that said I have to give a month notice of quiting. The computer literature was all facing TJ and after he told me there was no contract I believed what I was signing was just to make sure I would not sue them if I got hurt. I did not realized it was a contract to take money from me with services that I was not going to use. I came to Flower Mound to help out my sister for a month while she had a child ended up getting a membership where her family had one. I got them to quit, after my experience they said they did not want to give money to that kind of business anymore. They had been going to that gym for sometime and decided it was time to stop. I started the gym 02,04,2013 and came back for my last day 02,27,2013 to quit. I got called back into a sales room and was asked why I wanted to quit. I told this new sales person the story. She let me know that TJ does not work here anymore and should of told me that there was no month membership her at Lifetime only two months. She let me know that if TJ did not tell me about the two month contract it was un-ethical on his part. Then I still wanted to only pay for the one month that I agree on with TJ so I let the new sales person know that and explained if I have to pay for the second month I will never come back and tell my experience to everyone I meet. I thought she understood and said she would be right back, came back with a print out of the two month contract and said is this your signature. I said yes, than she asked if she could see my license. I gave it to her she left again and came back told me that she met with the General Manager of the Flower Mound Lifetime Fitness and decide to give me half of the second month back because of my troubles. This was really annoying because now they pretty much were saying that I probably was mis-informed by TJ and to right this we will still need some of your money. It felt like I was in a car dealership and the sales person had to talk to the fictional supervisor to drop the price of the car. It was kind weird because over 68 dollars the sales person had to talk to the General Manager. At this point I was just tired of being there and let the sales person know that I was not happy and would never come back, and explain my story to whom ever would listen. Than we talked about how Lifetime has a high turn over with employees. That is when I realized if guests were treated at Lifetime of how can they get an extra buck who cares about retaining a member, working for Lifetime Fitness might not be so rosy. I still did not like being tricked by TJ but at least some of the employees got a couple dollars to make life a little easier until they find a better job. Than I called the corporate office and explained my story. After about 15 minutes of waiting on hold i spoke with a customer service person and they explained to me that they could not do anything for me other then giving the phone number of the General Manager of Flower Mound. Well I let him know too that I think this happens often and he agreed and said we could not help one person and not another with contract issues. To me I thought a business should work on a case by case scenario. The world is not black and white there is a lot of gray. Then I let him know that I would do my best to make sure other people new about what happened to me. The Lifetime Rep quickly said have a nice day and hung up on me. Well that is my Lifetime experience and I will remember it for a Lifetime. Thanks TJ and Lifetime Fitness.

Lifetime in Plano on Legacy is the worst place to be. Under the new management things are as sunny as as they used to be. The sauna and the steam room is filthy and never clean. Kids running around unsupervised.

Lifetime Fitness is a great fitness center. Their facilities that I have been to are huge and have a ton of fitness equipment to choose from. Their staff is really nice and helpful and their prices are reasonable.
