In 2012 I used David Huguenin as my real estate attorney. As shown below I would NOT recommend him to other. #1. Per RESPA, it is best practice for the attorney to provide the HUD statement 24 hours in advance of the closing. While Mr. Huguenin received the closing package from my lender 48 hours in advance of the closing date, I did not receive my HUD statement until less than two hours before closing. When I brought up my dissatisfaction with the lack of time, Mr. Huguenin blamed the lender for the delay. I understand an attorneys office being busy; however I do not like being lied to. #2. Mr. Huguenin acted in a rushed, unprofessional, and condescending manner. He quickly went through the extensive paperwork explaining little and not thoroughly answering my questions. Also, when I tried to ask the seller about the existing pest control warranty that was to be passed onto me as the buyer, Mr. Huguenin cut off my legitimate questions by stating all homes have pests, fungus.
