With a wide variety of yarns, books, magazines, accessories, and examples of finished work, The Fiber Gallery is a sweet little neighborhood knitting spot. Don't be shy -- gather around the big wooden table in a comfy chair and cast on. Regular classes and workshops are offered, the employees are friendly and willing to answer questions, and there's a kids' table with a basket of Legos on it to help keep little fingers busy while Mom shops.

The only thing that could possibly make this better would be (1) a tea shop next door -- get on that, Fiber Gallery! -- (2) more separation between the kids' table and the buttons / accessories. My kids thought the for-sale accessories were also toys. :-O

I moved to Seattle a year ago and the first thing I started to do was look for a new needlework haunt! A friend took me to The Fiber Gallery and while I've visited other great yarn shops in Seattle, this one is the absolute best! The selection is fabulous, ranging in high price, hard to find designer yarns (worth every bit!) to more modestly priced wool and other fibers. The other great plus about this shop is their very informative newsletter, chock full of great classes and at great prices as well. The staff was extremely helpful and generally just cheerful. The customers were as well which says a lot about the atmosphere of this very special yarn heaven! They have my loyalty for the duration of my existence in Seattle!!!
