Love the atmosphere and the service. However the food didn't match the same quality as the atmosphere and the price. The steaks were not as good quality as another well-known steakhouse.

It is so disappointing to not give this neighborhood restaurant 5 stars. It really should excel, especially based on it's high prices, but there is just something lacking in their recipes. Decor is nice and service is good, just not extra-special as we expected.

Excellent. Go there and eat anything on the menu and you will be extremely satisfied. Martinis ROCK. I want one of each the next time I go near the place. Put's a new meaning to the words mouth watering.

I decided to bring my wife here for dinner as I have seen many advertisements for cobblestones and it seemed like our type of restaurant. Boy was I wrong. We arrived on time and although we had reservations, we still had a 5-10 minute wait. No big deal. Once we were seated we waited an unreasonable amount of time to be helped. The wait staff was young and very amateur-esque, joking and horsing around as if they worked at Chucky Cheese. Once we placed our orders we waited literally and hour to be served. This may have not been so bad had the wait staff visited our table enough to keep our drinks filled, but that was not the case. We both ordered the Fillet Mignon as we are both avid steak eaters and this is their signature cut. Once served I observed the cut to be strictly average. They certainly do not use Prime cuts, possibly not even Choice. Ironically enough the day before my wife and I enjoyed lunch at Ruby Tuesdays where we both enjoyed a Prime cut of beef with 10 times the service for half the price. I am not opposed to spending rather large sums of money for dinner, i.e. Ruth's Chris, Capitol Grille, etc.. yet I don't like to feel cheated when I leave. Cobblestones left us feeling completely dissatisfied, so much so I took time out of my day to write this review. Don't waste you time or money.

Pros: Nice Ambience, Ample Parking

Cons: Food Value, service (or lack thereof)

We have eaten here a number of times since they opened. We have never been disappointed. This past January, we went to celebrate my husband's birthday and the fact that he had survived a quadruple by-pass just one month earlier. I called in advance and spoke to the manager and he was great, helping me to plan a dinner that would satisfy both my husband and his doctors. My husband loved his dinner. Mine was fantastic, as always.
I have no idea who are the people who give this place bad reviews but they obviously are mixing it up with another restaurant. We spend about six to eight months a year on the road so we have dined at some of the best restaurants from Los Angeles to New York to Key West to Seattle. Also, as a former restaurant and catering service owner, I am particularly fussy about everything. This place stands the test!
We are in fact, going tomorrow night for the New Years Eve Holiday and to celebrate my husband's birthday. We are looking forward to it.
Just for the record: this is NOT a family place! This establishment is for adults! Thank heavens! For those of us who are finished with child rearing it is a blessing to eat a meal in peace and quite and have ourselves be the pampered ones for a change.

Cons: None

The review below by sarah must have done by the owner. Who writes a review "perfect for romantic dinner, company party, birthday, etc. and who tries the mini dessert(s)? like how many did she try? Anyway, my BF and i went there and we had the crab cake appetizer. It was crusty and burnt. For dinner I had shrimp and scallops and the shrimp was way overcooked and chewy. My BF had grouper and it smelled. It might have been old or something. Our server was fine and said she would take it back but we didn't want to stay any longer. we won't be back.

We were visiting JAX and our friends told us we HAD to try this place. We were very impressed with the ENTIRE EXPERIENCE. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was beautiful, comfortable and very well decorated. The atmosphere would be perfect for a romantic dinner, a company party, a reception, and even a birthday party. The food was excellent, my husband had the filet which he said was the best he had ever tasted but my favorite was their mini desserts. We also tried a few of their drinks and found we really liked the pineapple martini and the signature cobbletini. WE WOULD MOST DEFINATELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE!!!!

I'll be brief 'cause this place is not worth that much time.
I was planning a romantic dinner with my girlfriend. Didn't happened because the owner's wife didn't allowed it. She wouldn't leave us alone. She kept talking and talking and talking. If I wanted to be talked to that much I would've gone to the hair salon!!!! As there was hardly anyone at the restaurant at 7 pm on a Wednesday, I guess she couldn't talk to anybody else.
Anyway, food was waaaaaaay below average, service was OK (everyone was just OK but her), drinks were OK until I overheard some employees talking to each other and saying that "the liquor bottles are re-filled with cheap products by the owner" (isn't that illegal?). The staff members didn't know that we were still there, so they just kept going about what a customer is supposed to get but don't. So, why should I pay for Grey Goose and get Skol??????????????
Stay away from this place just like most people in the area do.

I've gone to this place several times since its opening just beacause there were not too many options in the area before. Sometimes food is OK, sometimes it is not good at all. The only good thing I can say about Cobblestones is that lately (few months) service has being outstanding. I like to rave on great service when I get it as it is difficult to find good service in Jax. The service we receive outweights the lack of quality of the food. On my last 3 visits (this year), I've felt welcomed by all the staff. Everyone says hi and cares about my experience. They all check to make sure everything is great. As I don't like to get much attention, I have never complained about the food.

If you want good food don't go to Cobblestones. If you would like to be pampered by all the staff from the hostess, bartenders, bussers, servers, managers, etc. go to Cobblestones.

Our third time..once was opening and we weren't impressed, then again with friends my steak was awesome but the service sucked, then tonight...my birthday....they overcooked my filet and I had waited a 1/2 hour for my when the place was NOT busy (was supposed to be med rare, was well done), my husbands was just slightly overcooked and the mashed potatoes had thick pieces of potatoe in them. The GM came to the table and told me he could see if another table's steak was about ready and take theirs...OMG!! This offended me...I didn't want someone else to have to wait longer because of me..okay..so that's how it's done in the restruant buz is what he told me (he said I have 20 years experience) well....then look Mr..don't tell the patron...we don't need to know you'll swipe someone else's steak! The entire experience was horrible. All this and he never offered to comp my meal. I live in JCP, will let all my neighbors know about this restruant. This is an overpriced wanna be Ruth Chris copy. Don't waste your time here.....you'll be sorry.

i have to say i was impressed with the ambiance, and that was about it. couldnt find anyone in charge, all teenage help and no one leading them, our waiter was good, but could never make up for the worst steak ive ever seen . i dont even think it was a filet, and they were getting good money for it, the sides were disgusting, it was brown creamed spinach, i advise you as a fellow meat lover to never take a chance here.i only tried it because they advertised best steak in town. we also talked to friends who had a similiar experience their, they got served frozen fish that was raw, and this is suppose to be a fresh grille..... go figure
