It's a real treat to hear a concert in the Carriage House. The venue is intimate which brings some great acts such as the Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar concert that we recently saw. We've also gone to a Dave Brubeck concert in the outside ampitheater which was terrific. Highly recommend!

Whether indoors or out, this venue has two really great places to catch an intimate show with great artists coming every year. Be sure to check the schedule often, plan a date in Saratoga, and then head up for a lovely evening. The outside venue is better than the inside, but both are great!
PROS: Great intimate venue
CONS: Not quite as good as the Mountain Winery

The Villa Montalvo has been a tradition in my family since 1966 when we attended the first Gilbert and Sullivan production out on the balony. Since I do special event planning I'm always thrilled to hear my clients ask for the Villa. The grounds are beautiful. I know my sister was married there and I was married on the grounds overlooking the grecian statues.

I've been hiking in the trails around Villa Montalvo a few times with my dad, and I've been pretty impressed with how well things up there are maintained. There are some beautiful gardens and a huge lawn where a lot of couples get married or have their wedding photos taken. There are occasionally live music groups that will play near the lawn. The hiking trails are kept clean and free of brush. They're easy to walk on, and you can get a nice view of the valley from the top.
