I initially thought these vets were providing educated and thorough exam, but after visited Rainier Veterinary Hospital (great place!), I discovered my dog has a heart murmur. I have been to Urban Vet at least a handful of times with my dog and this was not picked up during any of the examinations. The doctors are friendly and nice, but so are the ones at Rainier and they take the time to properly examine your dog.

Dr Morris was there when my sainted Keesha died. She checked out Gracie before I adopted her and cured a cat's bladder infection. She and her friendly colleagues share helpful advice liberally in this relaxed, informal setting. You won't get plush offices here, just the basics.

So far you can drop in or make an appointment but I anticipate things will change. More and more dogs I meet at the park are giving this vet a 5-woof rating.

Enter through the dog lounge.

Tell 'em Cathy and Gracie sent you.
