James Dixon is AWESOME and so is his administrative assistant Fran!!! My son was not represented well by his first attorney and received an unusually high sentence. We sought out Mr. Dixon to appeal this sentence. He and his staff were wonderful to us and to my son during the long appeal process. Through phone calls and emails he kept us informed of every step of the journey. Can't say enough good things about this firm. Now that my son has been re-sentenced (to a lot less years) I am going to miss Jim & Fran.

Like severall reviewers on this site, my son was in legal trouble. he was charged with felony assault by dubious accuser. If convicted, my sons bright future would have been destroyed. Jennifer and company listened, comforted, planned with us, then set out to do everything they could for us. Jennifer kept us informed every step of the way. Her knowledge of the law is quite impressive and her dedication to clients is simply amazing. Jennifer and her firm got our case dismissed! Jim helped out also, and I will always be grateful to these two outstanding attorneys!!

Jennifer is very professional, knowledgable, and kind! She helped me with every aspect of my case and took her time until I understood what was being done. She was never pushy and always respectful. I would reccommend her to anyone who wants the best lawyer in town. She put her heart and mind into my case and I was very pleased with the results. I dont just consider her my lawyer, she is my friend and Im glad she was there to represent me. Her legal knowledge is superb and she knows the law very well. I would trust her with my life!! James Dixon and his wonderful staff go above and beyond. Mr. Dixon is the type of attorney that phones his clients on a Sunday evening just to make certain that all of your questions and concerns have been answered and addressed. When you need to reach him, you can count on your call being returned. He is well known in the legal community. It made me feel great when I witnessed him entering the court room, only to see the prosecutor smile and stand to shake his hand. Mr. Dixon and Dixon Cannon receive my highest recommendation.

Jim did an excellent job of representing me in what could have been an expensive and lengthy court battle. He handled the negotiations with great care and was very well prepared. He kept me well informed as to what my options and risks could be. Jim Dixon is confident in speaking with the court and with his fellow litigators. I believe his professionalism and integrity showed during the help he gave me with my situation. Jim also kept me very well appraised throughout the course of my hearings of any and all changes. I was panicked my 19 year old son informed me hours before he was to show up for his arraignment he had been arrested for a couple of misdemeanors one with a mandatory 1 day jail time. This may not seem like a big deal but he is only 19 and didn't need a criminal record and certainly not at the start of his adult life. I found Jennifer Cannon-Unione who not only walked my son and I through the charges she calmed the whole situation. She exudes a persona which garners confidence. She was able to to make the appearance that day as his attorney and have his plea noted without our having to go to court. She then gathered all the material facts of the case and very clearly spelled out my son's options. She was experienced and had even worked with the prosecutor before on another case which was helpful in working a deal on my son's. She was able to get one of the charges dropped and the other handled in such a way my son has essentially no criminal record and he did not have any jail time etc. Jennifer's expertise and knowledge of the criminal system not only saved the day gave me great peace of mind and my son also. If I or anyone I know ever needs a criminal attorney I won't hesitate to go to or refer others to Dixon-Cannon!!!!

Mere words cannot describe the unprecedented legal representation and emotional comfort I received from the staff at Dixon & Cannon. A different legal firm referred me to Jennifer Cannon-Unione, as they were not able to take my case. In hearing the agonizing details about my situation, Jennifer immediately set me at ease, and assured me that I indeed had an undeniably strong case. She became my pillar of strength, my protector and my confidant. Through the entire 2 year case, Jennifer was not only professional in explaining each process in complete detail, but she did it in a way where I immediately understood. It has been 2 years of arduous work and she was steadfast in her objective and detailing every pro and con, every possible outcome, and consistently explained everything along each step of the way. I was able to make logical decisions based on her approach and assistance. Last year, I faced a charge of assault in fouth degree. I think this was the worst time in my life. I had the oportunity to meet Jennifer in a friend's party. When I talked to her I could appreciate her sharp intelligence and charming personality. I did not think twice when I had to call a lawyer to defend my case. During the process, I always felt her support and commitment. The charges were dismissed few months later. I had to complete few hours of communitary service and a fast anger management course. I will always be grateful to Jenny.

When I found myself in legal trouble and needed a quality criminal defense attorney I didn't know who to call. I did a City Search, and selected Dixon & Cannon based on their reviews. I am so pleased with their sevices that I am writing this brief endorsement and thank you. I was facing a year in jail on a misdemeaner charge. Right from the start I knew I was in good hands and my concerns were alleviated. Jim Dixon is bright, compassionate, aggressive, professional and experienced. His staff is the best (thank you Fran for all your kindness!). My case was dismissed before a court date was even selected because of the way Mr. Dixon presented it to the prosecutor. I can't thank Jim enough. Jim is an outstanding attorney in many ways and I would recommend him to anyone.

I was so nervous when I made the phone call to Dixon & Cannon, Fran the very sweet and personable receptionist hooked me into Jennifer Cannon's office and she could tell immediately that I was upset. Over the phone, she calmed me down right away. I went on to tell my story I was looking at 90 days in jail and believe you me I was one scared little puppy, because I have never been to jail ever in my life. Jennifer took me by the hand and guided me step by step on what was going to take place, we did what she said we were going to do and I not only didn't spend a day in jail, but I didn't even have to do one hour of community service and walked out of the court house with a $43.00 fine and that was it. The team behind Dixon and Cannon are nothing short of amazing, the rates are very reasonable and you will be very pleased with the outcome. In short it was the best phone call I ever made.

Jim Dixon and his staff are REAL people. Jim helped me get out of my case with better results more than I had expected and attached rates that are more than fair. I was facing 5+ years in jail but instead I'm doing community service. His professionalism and experience guided me through my hard times with confidence and less stress. Jim is the most outstanding lawyer and person we have ever met. He helped me and my family through a very difficult legal matter. Knowing I could trust him and feel at ease with him was a huge thing. He was there for every phone call and question we had. He is always up front and honest and helpful in every step of the way through the horrible legal court system. He took my nightmare away. If you are reading this, you may be in the same situation I was in. My son was in a legal mess....I was scared to death. I found this site, read the reviews, went to the website and instantly felt a comfort by what I read. Jennifer and staff made me feel SO comfortable. I was treated with much compassion. The case was handled professionably but also warmly. Jennifer cared about each person involved, we were people, not just clients. Her staff is equally awesome. If you read this and feel lost, PLEASE do not hesitate to call. If you need a lawyer, they will go above and beyond if they can and I appreciate that from the bottom of my heart!

Jim Dixon helped a family member and worked with me long distance to keep me in the loop and educate me throughout the process. He showed genuine compassion for our family. This was appreciated during a difficult time. I feel extremely forturnate to have found Jim, and have him represent my loved one. He is a balanced, fair man. He is very responsive, an excellent communicator, compassionate. A very knowledgeable attorney. He is easy to talk to, has a great personality.
