Also, your representative inquired about how I liked my Avira Antivirus as the technician was setting up to take over my computer. When I expressed the concern that last time my computer was cleaned, you found 91 viruses(!!!), a new free antivirus was offered. I feel like you are keeping me up-to-date and watching out for my best interests.

I was having problems with my hard drive and the technician they sent me was able to fix the problem in a timely manner. A backup was done and he explained to me all the steps he was taking and why. He also suggested that I backup my files regularly to avoid problems like this one in the future. He was able to get my computer up and running and even gave me a tutorial on how to clean up unwanted files. I also signed up for their monthly service.

I called GOS because my computer was running very slow, and they said they could have the tech at my house that day, which they did. I was really happy with the service - I had to get a new hard drive- which the tech installed. I had no problems with the tech they sent. I will recommend them without reservations.

I had a contract with these people and they kept billing me long after my service until I saw it on my credit card and stopped the payments. I spoke to the manager for a long period of time, a pleasant guy who was very helpful and got me good technicians. As soon as I couldn't contact hi8m anymore I would get these people on the phone who knew nothing. They came to two of my businesses several times and each time we had to explain to a different tech the same things over and over. They are hard to reach on the phone and if you don't get the right person you might as well throw your money in the toilet, I call Radiant Network Services now and they are incredible and 2/3 the price. These are the people that actually are sub contracted out from Geeks so you get techs for less. Thats another thing, they aren't local. They are based out of Florida some where so they hire sub contractors who have little or no experience. I got lucky and found their best and now they do all my repairs, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, call Radiant Network Services.

I recall one instance where the main tech had gone out on a service call to a customers home, couldn't fix a video problem on site and explained to the customer that their machine would have to be brought in for repair. A new video card was installed in the customers machine and it was returned to the customer 2 days later. The day after the machine was returned to the customer they called GOS and complained that the computer still wasn't fixed and wanted someone to come out and fix it onsite. The original technician wasn't available to go so I went out to see what I could do. Upon opening the machine an moldy odor became readily apparent. This set off a mental alarm and I began to look for water inside the case. There was no water present, however, there was a considerable amount of mold and rust inside the case.

When asked if the machine had been subjected to submersion in a liquid the customer replied that he had just moved to the DFW area from New Orleans and that his home had been flooded when Katrina plowed through. The customer even presented pictures clearly displaying the structural damage the home had suffered and in the middle of one of the pictures was the computer in question. It had been directly underneath a hole in the roof and in direct contact with the rains.

I explained to the customer that when he called GOS initially it should have been explained that water damaged machines are not dealt with because usually it is not cost effective for the customer. I added that the original technician should not have worked on the machine, let alone replace parts and not fully inspect the machine before working on it.

It took them three days to get a part for my computer, and when it arrived, it was the wrong part. The technician didn't even look at the computer components to determine the right part. When I asked for my $99 (for "diagnostic")back, they didn't respond, They are not even at the address that you see above, so I believe that they have to keep moving around to avoid other angry customers. After telling them my story along with their knowledge the computer had been wet and now smelled of mold and mildew, I was told it could be repaired! Not only is my computer not working, I was told by a 2nd technician from G.O.S, my computer should have never been worked on to start with! I called the manager Mike, for a refund, I have yet to here back from managment and still no computer!
