If you aren't staying here there really isn't a reason to go into this old school Vegas hotel. I saw the showgirls show (can't remember the name) which was fun with my girlfriend. It was a deal for $22 a ticket. Worth the price.

A really old hotel that needs renovating on the outside. They have recently renovated their rooms which is a plus. The hotel does have an older crowd. However, if you wan to be in the center of the strip, it is a good place to stay.

We went here for a close friends wedding, it is a beautiful place, the food was delicious, the staff could not do enough for everyone. It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at SweetHotelDeals.us They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

As the bridge between old and new Vegas on the Las Vegas Strip, Bally's offers its guests convenience, class and spectacle with a central location, well-suited amenities and a classic showgirl extravaganza.

watch your credit card bill , you will be billed for more than they tell you and guess what else - no refunds - we did not meet anyone there that was happy afterwards all had the same feeling as us . we are not allowed on here to tell you all of the truth so - save your money

Cons: deceptive - lies - rude employees

Stayed there this year in a nice room, and to sum things up, I got eaten alive by bed bugs. They infested my suitcase and unfortunately took some home, hence what happens in Vegas sometimes comes home with you in the form of little critters. So DOUBLE check your bag before going home and don't leave clothes lying around in the room, they'll crawl into your pockets and stuff. I had rashes and scabbing for months. It wasn't fun. Hotel did not help at all even though they knew about the problem.

Pros: Nice looking tower

Loved the steakhouse. I would say this restaurant was a great introduction to the Paris Hotel & Casino. The wait wasn't long but the handsome server was worth the 5 minutes we spent waiting on a nice table. With a choice of sitting inside or out, we felt a light breeze while still feeling apart of the sensual environment of the restaurant. We chose the best selections on the menu. With the price not being a factor, I got a wonderful cut of steak...the Filet Mignon. My friends and I enjoyed the French-inspired view, the fine dining, the innocent flirting with the waiter, and most of all, the large bill at the end (psych!). If you're looking for a fine selection of steaks, and a nice view inside the restaurant and out, this is your place.

We have been to this restaurant several times now and everytime the service is great and the food incredible! It is worth the wait for a table outside to watch the Bellagio fountains while you eat.

Ok, I'm salivating again, just thinking about this place. I'm writing this review almost 3 months since we ate there. Incredible service, incredible steaks. We used the drippy juice around the steaks, which melted in our mouths, to dip our frites in. It makes me wish I could go back there tonight. It was so amazing. Arguably our best meal in Vegas. The waitstaff was so well trained and was anticipating our every move, but not in a creepy way. So romantic, too, right across from the Bellagio. It was a very happy, memorable night.

On 2007 Valentines day, my boyfriend and I showed up for our reservation which was made three weeks in advance. We stood in line for 1hr. in a mile long line, before we decided to go somewhere else. We asked the hostess how many reservations were made? She replied they booked 100 reservations per each hour! If you have ever been in this restaurant, it is not possible to turn over 100 reservations per each hour! This is not suposed to be a buffet style dining experience! We were extremely disappointed on our very first valentines day.

Go for lunch and get the chopped salad. Soooo tasty. And the place is great because although it's in a hotel, once you're inside and especially in the solarium area, you don't feel like you're near a casino. Love that.

Dined here twice on our last trip to vegas. The shrimp appetizer was great. Also, they know how to cook their steaks. Even the thin cuts are very tender. Be sure to sit outside in the evening - it is not too hot once the sun goes down behing the Bellagio.

I recently hosted an event at this restaurant for almost 15 people and have only good news to report. The food and the service were great and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. You may sit outside and enjoy a lovely view of the Bellagio fountains or inside in the french style dining room that was just adorable. Our resvervation was honored promptly and teh service was great from begining to end. Everyone enjoyed the food especially the superb onion soup and steak frittes. The salmon and orzo was also quite tasty. I woudl recommend this restaurant for a resonably priced meal on the strip for two or for 10.

Pros: Service, Food, View, Atmosphere

This was definitely the best meal we ate while in Vegas. The food was wonderful and so was the service, but thankfully it also wasn't uptight like some more expensive places. Appletinis are wonderful here, and so are the steaks. The filets were so tender and had such a wonderful flavor. I completely recommend the bread pudding for dessert. It is absolutely to die for--even better than the creme brulee! Come early if you want to sit on the patio so you can watch the fountains at the Bellagio, they even put heaters outside when it's a little on the cold side.

We were referred to Mon Ami Gabi by friends and it was the best meal we had during our 4 night stay in Vegas. We all had different selections of steaks with frites (decadent french fries), great Martinis and wish we had eaten there all 4 nights. We had another steak dinner at twice the price and was nowhere near as good. The atmosphere is just like a french bistro.

I came for a conference and learned the hard way; I will never stay at this hotel again. It is time to upgrade and remodel. Unfortunately, the rooms are dark and outdated; the furniture is from the late 1960's or early 70's. The carpet is old and needs to be replaced too. The mattress and pillows need updating also, the beds did not have comforters. The hallways are dark and dingy. If you like old and don't mind putting up with less ambience, this hotel is for you. I would compare this hotel to a Motel 6. The only good thing is that it is connected to the Paris Hotel and across the street from Bellagio and Caesar's. I highly recommended staying at any of the above mentioned hotels. Do not stay at this hotel unless you like a rustic environment. Pay the extra money, stay at another hotel.

I never suspected that steak frites could be so bad. My steak was grey and overcooked. The fries weren't fries at all, but rather fried potato strips that looked like they should come in a can. This place pumps out thousands of plates/day. How could it be good with such volume?

This hotel is right in the middle of the strip. Close to everything. Next door is Paris and across the street is Bellagio. The rooms are big and the views are good. The entrance to the lobby is kind of weird. You take this moving walkway. It's part of the Harrah's group so you know it's a quality hotel.

My husband and I decided to stay at Bally's on our recent trip to Las Vegas. We loved the location as it was close to everything on the strip. We ended up upgrading our room once we arrived (the woman that checked us in was very nice) so we were in a suite. It had an awesome view of the strip, a huge jacuzzi tub, enormous bathroom area and oversized shower with steam shower included. We paid only $159 for it which was a killer deal. While we were there we ordered room service a couple times. The breakfast that we got was actually pretty cheap for room service and it was better than any breakfast we'd ever gotten even at the fancier hotels we've stayed at. Great portions and fast service. My husband's parents were in Vegas at the same time and stayed at the Four Seasons. I thought our room was bigger and better than theirs! It may not have been quite as updated as theirs but it didn't feel dirty or anything. We didn't spend much time in the casino but it seemed about the same as any of the others we walked through. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Vegas, we didn't want to leave!

We love French bistros and Mon Ami is by far the best and most economical in Vegas. They know how to cook steak perfectly, their salads are fresh and lightly dressed, and their wine list is impeccable.\r
\r
But most of all, their staff is well trained and attentive. The catering/wedding manager especially, Drew, is the top of the line in customer service.\r
\r
We will always go back here (but we will also try Daniel Bolud's). Best, Z

First things first. The Patio is the best place to sit but the dining area has views of the Bellagio fountain as well. You have to reserve patio seating in person. This restaurant ONLY hires stupid, rude hostesses. In all the years of eating at this restaurant, the hostesses have all been idiots. The wait staff luckily has always been professional and good. The food is pricey but it's an experience you shouldn't miss. Even the coffee is good here.

We?ve been coming to Mon Ami Gabi for years and everyone we?ve brought along or told about the restaurant loves it. It truly is one of the best inside secrets of Las Vegas ? go to Mon Ami Gabi for a personal view of the fountains at Bellagio. The piece d? resistance is the steak ongle with pommes frites (get the cognac peppercorn sauce added to it!) and the julienned carrots with the baguette before dinner always threaten to ruin my appetite because I keep asking for more and more servings. Everything is amazingly good and the French restaurant ambiance is excellent.

This hotel was fun to get in and out to the strip. Our room had great views of the Bellagio and of the strip. It was elegantly decorated and our bellman was very courteous and seemed to genuinly love his work there at the hotel. The casino was awesome! The staff was very pleasant and made us feel welcomed and that our business was much appreciated. We recommend this hotel highly.

This is one of the best tips in Vegas - to sit outside at Mon Ami Gabi gets you a ring-side view of the amazing fountains at the Bellagio. During the course of your meal you'll get to see the display several times. And the steaks are'nt bad here - the frites (or fries) are terrific and decadent. It really looks like a restaurant in France so the atmosphere and the fountains give you and your partner a truly international, romantic time out.

This restaurant has great prices, great food, and great ambience. Instead of having the Pomme Frites, you can also try potatoes prepared a little differently - au gratin, mashed, or baked. Be sure to ask your server. Also, feel free to mix up the sauces with your steaks. Mon Ami Gabi has a variety of cuts and sauces that you can switch up - no need to stick to what's on the menu. If you do stick with what's on the menu, you can't go wrong. Make reservations as the line for this place can get long. Highly recommended!

My husband and I celebrated my birthday with friends recently on our second visit to Mon Ami. We were seated on the patio facing the beautiful Bellagio waterfall show. The food was delicious, and our server Chris's suggestion for Pink Cricket was excellent--the people watching is great too. Would suggest Mon Ami to anyone visiting Las Vegas for a memorable dining experience.

This place feels like one of the older casinos on the strip, but they've kept it up and renovated enough to keep it current. Their standard rooms are larger than most in terms of square footage (I checked this with others just to make sure), and their master suites are huge. This makes a great destination for bachelor parties and such, if you don't mind not being at the "hippest" and "hottest" places on the strip. You'll certainly pay less for these rooms, and they're nice -- just not extravagant or incredible. Bally's has a good location on the strip too, and is directly connected to Paris. If you wanted to head anywhere else, it's easy to do. Head here for more relaxed and less pretentious atmosphere than the rest.

I read many great reviews about this place, and just had to check it out on my recent trip to Vegas. The food was excellent. As a vegetarian, French Fare can sometimes be unwelcoming... however Mon Ami Gabi not only had an excellent cheese plate (and other vege friendly appetizers) they also had a wonderful veggie plate as a main course. We had a great seat in the Greenhouse - which gave us a view of the fountians, but was a little away from the traffic on the strip. Our service was fair - not the best, nor the worst I've ever had. The price was also fair, but in a good way - two entrees, shared appetizer and dessert, PLUS a bottle of wine for around $100 was less than I expected to pay. I was not as thrilled by the French Crepes for dessert as I thought I might be, but the ice cream and strawberries wrapped up in them were excellent. All in all - definitly worth the trip, and I will return next time I visit Vegas.

Pros: Service, Ambiance

.

I had a great time staying at this hotel. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. I loved walking around the casino and the stores that were connected. I especially loved the icy cold air conditioning in the room, very important when it's 120 degrees outside. My room was worth 3x more than I paid for it. If you want a deal than Ballys is for you.

PROS: Spacious, Price
CONS: Casino=Smoke

The rooms are spacious and, more importantly, clean. The floor plans are nicely laid out, and the rooms are easily accessible. Furthermore, there is a lot of security to get up to your room. That makes guests feel very safe.

The buffet is terrific. If you don't like going to a buffet, there are plenty of other options available to you.

Bally's is set back from the strip, but is connected to Paris via a passageway lined with shops. There is also a bridge to the Barbary Coast. It is located in a nice, central spot, where you can see the Bellagio fountains from the front of the walkway.

Bally's also has very low rates. For the quality of service you get, it is DEFINITELY worth more than the price.

PROS: Very accommodating staff, fun casino, clean, low rates
CONS: Set Back From the Strip

We stayed there for a convention and decided to upgrade our room which included use of The Spa and the hospitality room which had drinks, food, TV's etc. Our room was beautiful and we were able to escape the hectic casino in the hospitality room to enjoy appetizers, enjoy a glass of wine and visit or watch tv a little. A continental breakfast was available there as well. The spa was a wonderful addition, and the women's area brings out the princess in all of us.

Bally?s Hotel and Casino, is right in the center of the strip, making it an ideal location. The rooms are not super spacious, nor small. It?s a typical standard hotel, with no fluff. This hotel is great for those who don?t spend most of their time in the hotel room. The price is a lot cheaper than the surrounding hotels in the vicinity.

When Andrea Boccelli's voice bursts across the strip with the fantastic view of Bellagio's fountains, it truly is a Kodak moment. Go with your lover and enjoy the 5 star cuisine. Steak, fish or potatoes - you can't go wrong with either. Have been 3 times and go every time i am in Vegas. You must arrive early to book a table on the patio, but it is worth the wait.

We went for dinner on a Sat night w/out reservations. The hostess was embarrassingly rude, I think because we had three children with us. She said we could be seated on the patio as if it would deter us. It was July, so that was great. The food was excellent, the view of the Bellagio water show, wonderful and entertaining. The waiter was really upset about how we were treated by the hostess, but it wasn't his fault. I would go back in a heartbeat! This place is great!

I love love love this place at lunch....try and dine in the antrium where it is sunny but air conditioned! They serve you glasses of wine from a french wine bucket, nicely iced! Problems, the fries are horrid! Quel horreur! They are not pommes frites as we know them, here or in France. What they do well is steak, salads, warm french bread and the service is perfect for this style restaurant. Friendly and expedient, and not too formal. Don't go for dinner, it is way to dark and the atmospeher does not translate well to evening.

The place was packed & we had to wait 30 min. even w/ reservations. When I inquired w/ hostess stand, they were extremely rude to the point that I almost walked away (the rest of my party was hungry though). Thankfully once seated, service was prompt & the atmosphere was that of a Paris bistro. We ordered endive salad, filet mignon, steak au poivre, & pork tenderloin accompanied by haricot verts, pureed & au gratin potatoes, and spinach sauteed w/ garlic. We were all pleasantly suprised by the quality of the meal. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted simply delicious. Service was credible but not spectacular, yet the meal was affordable (very nice for a mid-range dinner). The flavors were just right for a nice, flavorful dinner.

Casino is nice in this Bally's. Similar to the Bally's on the east coast. Not as grand as many of the newer and bigger Vegas resorts. Still, however, it is right on the strip and has a nice casino for your gambling pleasure. Always seems to be quite busy, too. If nothing else, go play a few slots there.
