The first time I was asked to play at River Run, a group from our church was going to "scramble". After we got there, they decided to just play a four ball. Which really didn't excite me to much since I hadn't played in a long, long time. Anyway, I had already paid to play and was sitting on the cart....so, I went ahead and teed up with the group. I had never played the course, so I figured I was going to be in for a long day. It turned out that I actually enjoyed the outing. I still didn't play that well, but the course was fair enough for an out of swing golfer to not have to feel too bad about not having "game". It appears they maintain the course well. The prices were fair for both the round of golf and cart. The pro shop prices on balls, gloves, tees, etc. were about what you would expect....not cheap, but there waiting on somebody to buy them. We also enjoyed going into the club afterwards and making fun of "my" game or lack there of!! I would go back, after I get my game back in swing!!
