this was my second visit to this place in 8 months. both times we waited long time for server to come to table, waited for non-alcoholic drinks, waited to have order taken, long wait for food to come, had to ask for refill of water, server spilled water all over table while pouring it, server commented on how fast she thought i had eaten my food, server appeared to fake being interested in who i was and why i was in town, had to ask for a spoon with desert, had to get my own napkin from table next to us. the list could go on about the extremely poor and, seemingly, uninterested attitude i received both times at this place. server commented that they were very full and busy tonight as her excuse for being a less than acceptable server. will not return to this location but might try a different one as the food was good. Pros: food was good

Cons: waited for everything

If you are a guy, this place has the wait staff for you. Every girl that works here is dressed to the nines but they make even the females feel comfortable. The food is excellent so the guys get food as well as the scenery. What more can you ask for.

I hosted my friend's birthday party for about 15 people back in December but just found out that the server who helped us is still employed there so i felt a little compelled to write a review.

The food was actually pretty good along with the drinks and even the service UNTIL days later I checked my bank account was charged $68 instead of the $45 that I authorized. Now this might not seem like a big deal but I thought it was a little weird. I proceeded to call my friend who was also apart our group that split our tab 4 ways and sure enough his account was charged an extra $45.

Our tab came to something like $130 plus some change...we all put in $45 (two of us paying on our cards and the other two paying with cash). When all was said and done we left $180 total between the 4 of us. You thinking the same thing I am??? Our pretty little Birdie pocketed the $90 in cash and charged the two cards the balance thinking we were stupid and won't check our bank statements...

I called Joeys and asked to speak with the manager, I was asked what this was in reference too and so I explained my situation, I was put on hold and was told the bookkeeper would call me and take care of that. I never received a call back. I never spoke with the manager, I had to call several times wasting my time and energy to get back my money. I was offered ONE drink as an apology!!!

I'm sorry but the last time I looked charging someones acount for an unauthorized amount is a crime!!!!! I WILL NEVER EAT AT THIS JOEY's AGIAN and WILL tell ALL my friends about my HORRIBLE SERVICE AND THAT THIS ESTABLISHMENT EMPLOYS THIEVES.

I will NEVER be back to this restaurant again. I came in with a date on Sunday night for a quiet dinner. The restaurant was moderately full; the bar still was fairly full due to an earlier football game that was over for at least an hour. Sat by the deck window, and there were 2 large parties of 8+ opposite who were VERY LOUD, yelling, hi-fiving, etc. Mangement did NOTHING to calm them down. Other patrons who came in at the same time were also upset. The food was good when we finally got it, but server FORGOT my side dish and I did not receive it until almost end of meal. Then a group of football hooligans who were in the bar decided to go outside to the deck (which had been closed; they should not have been allowed out there), and proceeded to sit at the outside bar and make lewd gestures AT ME while I was eating! One of them then THREW ICE at the window to get my attention; I just got right up and found the manager and told her what just happened; she basically did NOTHING to these jerks and made some comment about "Well, it's game night!", like there was nothing she could do about these drunken asses! Last time I checked, the Seahawk game was OVER, and Joey's is NOT a sports bar, filled with drunken frat boys who think they can get away with obnoxious behavior! I spent $100 on dinner and was treated so badly it's not funny. Manager tried to appease me as I left by offering a gift certificate - I declined, and she proceeded to CHASE AFTER ME as I left the restaurant! I am just appalled by this whole situation and will also be calling management. DO NOT EAT HERE.

We often go to the Lake Union Joeys (Bellevue location too) with my wife, children and friends. The food is always outstanding with a great and fun selection. The view is amazing and the service has never been anything other than awesome. The staff is always extremely friendly too.

I have got to say though . . . the waitresses are BEYOND SMOKING HOT! Holy cow!!! How can Joey's find so many totally gorgeous girls? Not only are they absolutely beautiful but they they wear short skirts, killer dresses, high heels, etc. It's hard to keep your eyes on the table.

Please visit if you haven't already. You will not be disappointed.

Been to joeys 5-6 times and the food is always perfect. This last time the server was just too busy or ???
Nice guy whenever he finally made it to our table, but just wasn't the best.

If you are looking to work here, DON'T. I have heard multiple horror stories from previous employees. While much of the kitchen and wait staff is very friendly, the management is a whole different story. Management is condescending, immature and conducts based on a popularity contest while belittling employees along the way. It is a joke. Almost every single person I have known to work there (which is approaching 10 now) has left feeling unhappy to say the least. They entitle some to faux-management positions, that come complete with power-trips and egos. They are quick to reprimand for minuscule mistakes yet rarely take the time to acknowledge, let alone reward, high quality service and above average behavior. Not to mention the fact the servers work harder than most other restaurants as they seat the tables, bus their own tables and carry out all the food in the restaurant to everyones tables and do so for minimum wage. Similarly, the kitchen is always working hard (which can be seen easily by anyone since they have an open kitchen). I am writing this because I am tired of seeing young, hard-working people and friends being treated in such a manner and with such little respect. (I cannot speak towards the bellevue location or if they have any similar problems, for all I know it is nothing like the seattle location)

I've been to Joey's several times because some guy friends of mine like to go there for drinks. The waitresses are attractive, the decor is great, the view is wonderful and the Habatchi wings and blue cheese fries are DELICIOUS! However, all that does not make up for the rude service. I've had about 3 bad experiences there but I will provide you with my worst:

I arrive with my friend and we're seated in the bar. We order our food (habatchi wings and fries) and also 2 shots of tequila. We waited 20 minutes for our shots even though we could see the bartenders and they weren't very busy. We reminded our server twice. She never seemed very attentive or interested in providing us any service. Finally the tequila came and then the appetizers about a 45 minutes later. They were brought to us by a different server, not the original waitress. That server left before I could ask for a refill of water. Finally flagged a server down for a refill and my cup returned with about 100 tiny crumb looking floaty things in it, it was disgusting! Where the h3ll did they get that water! I flag down our original waitress, I hold my glass up and tell her its got things floating in it, she then proceeds to blame me, telling me "Well its your original glass"!

After being ignored the whole night, waiting 20 minutes for tequila shots, served dirty water, and blamed for the dirty water I decided she shouldn't be tipped.

A week later I notice my credit card was charged $15 more then it should have been for a TIP (on a $24 food bill)! She wrote the tip in. I had to make 3 phone calls to get my money back. The manager told me they'd "taken care of her" and were letting her go. My guy friends saw her working there last night. So they basically allow fraud to happen to their customers and do not care how much you complain because they will still remain succesful do to the large amounts of ugly men who go there to drool over the waitresses.

Joeys is one of my favorite restaurants and offers the best appetizers. Some of my favorites include their lettuce wraps and fish tacos. Located right on lake union, there is a great view of Seattle.

If you like being left alone at your table with your menu folded and still you will love this place. The servers are great at taking your order then rushing you once your plate comes. The only place where I have had the server ask me if I was done once the plate was in her hand. My wife with fork still in hand and picking her plate had the server come up and grab it off the table. In the air and off the table the server asked if she was done. WHAT THE HELL!!! The the only reason for going is the view of old men with out shirts drinking bud light on there 25foot power boat.

I had been to Joey's before, with a group of friends, for cocktails and light snacks - we stayed in the (stylish) bar section and it was packed, Friday happy hour - lots of young people, and where DO they find the wait staff? not one that could even be called homely or average looking. My mom and aunt were coming to Seattle for a visit and I wanted them to try the Bellini - we went during the week, on Tuesday, at an off-peak time (2 pm); it was glorious weather, we sat outside and watched the sea planes, and ordered snacks and cocktails - we were seated promptly, were fortunate to have Danny as our waiter (who was surprised to find out he had been mentioned favorably in these reviews); he was pleasent and helpful; food was quite good, mom LOVE the Bellini - she does like sweet "harmless" drinks; both were very impressed. I had a chance to see the rest of the restaurant and was impressed with its sleek interior - great design with dark wood and pendant lights over the tables. At some point I will have to put them to the test and go for dinner. But if in doubt, definitely do as I did, go off hours when the weather is nice, sit outside and have a great time ..... and maybe even ask for Danny.

I had the salmon w/ green beans and a fried mashed potato roll (weird, yet good). I loved the food and the restuarant had a very romantic feel w/ the dim lighting and very modern decor. The service was good and we were promptly seated. I saw the other review that said she wanted over 30 mins. I guess it depends when you go. I loved it.

Two weeks ago, my boyfriend's family flew into town from PA and they were meeting my parents for the first time. I had called in earlier that day to reserve a table near the bay windows for 7:30. I arrived at the restaurant at 7:20 and did not get seated until 8:05. As we were being served our drinks, I noticed a chip in my wine glass and as our appetizers were being served, I noticed chunks of food still on my plate. Towards the end of the meal, Lindsey cleared my food plate when I had over 3/4 of my lobster ravioli left. She did not bother to ask me if I wanted a box for the remainder of my food. All in all, one could imagine that I had a very disappointing dining experience at Joey's. On July 3, I called Joey?s and asked to speak to a manager. After two call backs, the general manager Alex finally returned my call. After refusing his offer for a dinner on the house, he told me he would call the corporate office to see if there were other options he could offer in order to compensate for this horrible dining experience. It's been almost two weeks and no one has called me.

Once you get past the construction, Joey's is a pleasant surprise off of Lake Union. Exceptional location with adequate parking. Dark, swank and inviting, I appreciated the sophisticated interior and the way the bar/lounge is separated from the restaurant. Its ambience is not for everyone...this place appeals to the Hollywood-chic type crowd, and on Friday's can get somewhat rowdy. An attractive crowd and better than attractive wait staff...In the bar area, you could read the apprehension on some faces as escorted lesser dressed ladies compared themselves to the attractively dressed wait staff, in their black dresses and shoes. Men, avoid bringing sand to the beach...women in groups of three or four common. The service was excellent, and my waitress was attentive and friendly. My Guinness was poured perfectly and the bar menu was plentiful. A great variety of martinis. Edamame with Sea Salt was steamed correctly, and attractively served. Two hours at this place is enough time to take it all in. Once construction clears, a potential weekly hangout. Enjoy!

Guys, GO THERE. Other reviewers are right about this being a high class Hooter. The wait staffs are definitely beautiful and the ambiance is excellent. It's good for a group of guys to go there, have a few drinks after work or pre-funk before hitting another place. Personally, I don't really care for the hot wait staff (it's not like they haven't heard all the lines customers throws at them) but my friends love it.

Ladies, best to avoid this place. Why go to a place when you won't get the attention? The food is avg the drinks are just ok and this place is on the expensive side.

This place is a guy's hang out.

Good food, and hot service, but I am sorry, our whole table..... OUR WHOLE TABLE had to return our Mojitos as the bartenders, who couldn't have been a day older than 15, made them incorrectly. And when when I got my credit card statement later on, it should that Joeys had charged me twice for our dinner. If you venture here, watch your bill.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant!! I've been there for (small) pre-birthday dinners, happy hour, group dinners, just everything! The drinks are fantastic! I highly recommend the peach bellini, stiff lemonade and the Rocket Pop..beware, they're tasty and strong! Everytime I dine in the main room I try to get seated in Danny's section. The first time I went the server was just ok (kinda slow but she was very nice) but the second time I went Danny was our server. He took the time to explain the menu and was able to make great recommendations (for drinks, food, and vegetarian meals as well). Try the Diva salad and the famed mushroom soup! He was prompt and checked in frequently to see if we needed anything else. Ever since then when I take the time to dine in the dining room, I try to get seated in his section. So for those of you who have had problems with service, try asking for Danny, you won't be disappointed.

The servers and bartenders there are definitely all hot! Be sure to also check out the bar scene..its a great place to see and be seen, just ask the professional Seattle sports players that hang out here!

5 of my friends and I went out to Joey's expecting to have a nice dinner. Because of the size of our group and wanting to go on a Friday night, we made reservations - we still waited over 30 minutes to be seated. They tried to seat us at a table for 4 and a table for 2, this was unacceptable - we came as a group and wanted to enjoy each other's company so we had them move the tables together - that should have been done before we even arrived. Once seated it took forever for the waitress to come and take our drink orders and once ordered, we waited about a half hour for our first drink to arrive. The food took even longer. Our group had some special orders due to food allergies and 4 of the 6 meals ordered came out wrong and had to be sent back (there was even a hair in one person's soup). We called the manager over to explain the horrible time that we had at Joey's. He listened attentively and then did absolutely nothing. When we got the bill, we noticed that he comp'd the soup with the hair in it, approximately $10 of the $250 bill. Hardly what we expected after enduring such horrible service. Because of the slow service, we were there until after 11 - and we only had dinner and a couple of drinks. Who knows how long we would have been there had we had the nerve to ask for a dessert menu!!

Pros: The only positive thing about this place is it's ambience.

Cons: Sadly, I've had better service at Denny's

Went here with a group of friends & the atmosphere was good, food was good (a touch pricey, but to be expected when considering the atmosphere), drinks were pricey (although most drinks were pretty stiff), and service was okay - not stellar, not abysmal. We went in with a group of 12 and considering how seating is set up, I wouldn't recommend this place for any group larger than 4 (the tables are bolted, so we got separated into 3 tables of four, although they did make sure the 3 tables were together). It did take a fair amount of time for the food to come out and they really wern't that busy when we ordered. Overall, I would go back, and I would recommend it, but it's not really a great value for the money if that's what you're looking for.

Pros: Decor, pretty good food, girls bathroom was kinda cool & heard the guys bathroom is interesting...

Cons: Price, service, value

This restaurant has excellent food, great drinks and a fabulous atmosphere--but the customer service is awful. Each time I have gone to the restaurant, the food has taken over an hour to be served--even when it is not busy--and waiters are not great about checking back. The bartenders are also rather stingy on drinks and they aren't cheap. I would recommend this venue if you have a lot of time on your hands and don't mind waiting around for your food to come.

I have had two terrible experiences at Joey's. Once was on my 21st Birthday. We had about 17 people for dinner. They had our table ready which was good, however the service was terrible! They only assigned one waitress to our table and she was OBVIOUSLY new. She forgot to bring most of the things we asked for, including one person's dinner order! She also knew nothing about the drinks we were ordering, not even what the house beer was! That is no good on a 21st birthday! We ended up spending four hours there. Luckily they gave us our whole meal for free, but that didn't make up for the fact that we had to cancel other plans for the evening since dinner took so long!

My second experience was awful as well. We waited for over an hour to sit down. Then the first thing our waitress said was "I am so hungover I was out until 3am drinking last night." Our food took forever to arrive. Two of the meals tasted so terrible that my friends did not even eat them. Our waitress even tasted one of the meals and agreed that it was terrible! We got yet another free meal. I am not usually a critical person, but I will never go back again.

Pros: Good social scene, good drinks

Cons: some entrees are TERRIBLE, bad service

Got a coupon for a free Ahi appetizer in the mail today. Haven't been to Joeys in a long time, since they opened. The Ahi tacos are wonderful. The waitstaff is both attractive and professional. In the past the mixed drinks seemd awfully feeble by Seattle standards, but that seems to have been rectified. Our steaks were very good and cooked to the correct temperature. The real treat, however, was the molten chocolate desert. This is just wonderful served with a scoop of ice cream....

I have never been disappointed in my drinks, food, or service ever- and I have been coming 2 to 3 times a month since the beginning of the year. It is a really cozy, swank place to take a date- but don't be shocked if you catch him checking out the waitress when she walks away, because everyone that works there is gorgeous. Went there with a group of 3 couples and was even better- our waitress was really friendly and patient.

Cons: does not accept reservations on weekends

although the customer service can be great @ times, it is really inconsistent. some times i'll end up loving my server and other times they seem to be preoccupied and i barely see them @ all. one night we ended up waiting for a table for 2 hours and for our food for another hour. their hamburgers are delish. if it wasn't for how great their hamburgers were, customer service would persude me not to go.

ps. joey's is known as a upper-class hooters.
