Alegra Skin Care & Day Spa

The moment I walked up the stairs into this wonderful day spa I felt relaxed. The lightly scented air and the calming decor were very welcoming. Gaye is the most amazing esthetician that I have come across. My skin is still glowing from her wonderful facial. I have handed out business card to my friends and business associates I was so impressed. . . Matter of fact I am going to go back to get more?everyone should feel this good!

I went into Alegra Day Spa for my first professional eyebrow shaping looking like a Neanderthal woman. I came out with great looking eyeborws and feeling pampered and well cared for.

Gaye has a professional attitude, a light touch and a very nice personality.

I rarely comment on a service that should be good and is. But I'll make an exception here. This was a gift from my daughter and now I have another reason to love her. Great facial and I have been getting them for years. My search is over--this place is excellent. The owner knows what she is doing and you don't need to cringe as the products are introduced, feeling as if you will be pressured to buy them before you leave. Very relaxing, wonderfully lasting effects.

I have been going to Courtney for over four years and followed her to Alegra Day Spa. She always does a wonderful job on my brows, or whatever spa treatment I get.

I was disappointed when the skin care specialist I had been going to for years moved. I found Alegra Skin Care and Day Spa because I was looking for another esthetician who uses PCA Skin Care products. I was very pleased to find Alegra. The owner has done my facials and they have been wonderful! They were effective and my skin looks great! It was also a very relaxing and friendly environment. I also liked that products were availabe- but not pushed on me. I think the prices are reasonable, especially when you get such good care. I have alread sent a good friend to Alegra and she was also very pleased. I will continue to highly recommend Alegra Skin Care and Day Spa.

I've had so many facials here and my service has always been great. They see so many people at this place I wouldn't expect to be remembered like on my second visit -- really! Now I'm friends with the staff and everybody knows me.

I also have to add that they do incredible brow waxing/shaping and deserve to be named #1 in the Citysearch poll. Go ahead and vote for Alegra!!

Pros: Easy to get to, close to all the freeways.

I went here with a gift certificate, to get facials prior to my wedding last year. I felt it was overpriced, with prices comparable to higher end salons and I wasn't impressed with the customer service. I went twice within 2 weeks and my asthetician clearly didn't remember me at all and forgot I was using a gift certificate when I checked out. It is a cozy atmosphere, but I was definitely left wanting more.

You always wonder when you book an appointment somewhere "sight unseen" what to expect. This little gem in South Mission Hills is not to be misssed. It is so cute and cozy, great customer service and wonderful treatments. When you talk about an aromatherapy delight -- there were lovely essential oil candles burning in every room. I had the Alegra Basic Spa Package, a full hour massage and then a European facial. Each treatment was beyond my expectations. I recommend this place not only for great treatments but also for their fair pricing.

Pros: Convenient location. Not pretentious. Great Service.

Cons: Need to have an advance appointment for a Sunday or Monday treatments.

I have been to many spas in San Diego, but when I found Alegra Day Spa I knew I'd found a place I'd be going back to again and again. and I have.

This cozy, relaxing spot in Mission Hills is one of the most comfortable day spas I've ever been in. Everyone I 've met there has been super friendly and accommodating. And, of course, the treatments I''ve experienced have been both wonderfully relaxing and rejuvenating -- facials, massages, body treatments -- they are all very well performed by some of the best spa staff I've met. The owner has a very healing touch and when she was doing my facial massage, I actully drifted off to sleep. Nirvana! I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet get-away from life's hectic pace.

I also noticed on this website that they were named by City Search as being the best place for hair removal (or waxing, I can't remember exactly how it was worded) in San Diego. HOORAY for the Alegra Spa!

Pros: Professional-grade skin care products are used in every treatment. Very clean. Skilled therapists.

I was recommended to Alegra Skin Care & Day Spa by a good friend of mine, so I thought I'd try it. She told me it was a one-of-a-kind spa but I didn't really know what she meant until I showed up for my appointment. The place is adorable! It has a very relaxing atmosphere and the aromatherapy candles they burn are out of this world.

I had the Alegra Spa Basic Spa Treatment which is a one-hour European massage and a one-hour aromatherapy massage. These are FULL 1-HR. treatments -- not 50 minutes like some spas have. The massage was fabulous; the masseuse really knew her business The owner herself gave me a European facial which was one of the best I've ever had (and I've traveled all over the world). Her touch is "heavenly" and my skin literally glowed.

I can't recommend this place enough -- to anyone. You will be in for a special day when you get treated at the Alegra spa.
