This place has a very nice portfolio of fine wines and really good cheese and other food. The bar stuff has an excellent knowledge of the different wines and will be very helpful to find your faorite one. The best is, that if you are not

Went there Sunday 4/3 around 12:30pm.I went inside and asked if we should seat ourselves and the male waiter with short black hair said sure someone would be right out. My friend and I were forced to sit at a table that had not yet been

My Friday night date here a few weeks ago was neither dismal nor outstanding. We sat at the bar and quickly recieved a bottle of wine and placed our order. While we waited a magician came by and did some tricks but his halatosis was almost breath taking. The food arrived quickly and was a nice complement to the wine. Although I do believe that the meals were overpriced for what you get. It did seem like some of the staffers were having some sort of debate and one of the gals walked off pouting. All this seemed to be at the demise off those not seated at the bar. I would go again and just order some apps and wine.

I never normally write restaurant reviews, but was heavily inclined to let people know what a great time I had last night at The Grape.
The service was friendly and professional. All I had to do was tell the server what wine I liked and she immediately brought me exactly what I was hoping for.
Food was really fresh and completely different from the average corporate fare that the rest of the restaurants in the Town Center offer.
We had fondue for dessert and the chocolate was to die for!!!
If you ever are in the Town Center or Southside area be sure to check out the most amazing wine bar in Jax.

My favorite restaurant at the St Johns Town Center.
Great staff, great food, great music!
I don't know what the other review was talking about, but every time I have been to The Grape the music has been awesome! I guess people should just stick with what they know i.e. Cracker barrel, Dennys, home with a nice bottle of Boone's Farm etc.

This place is the best! I have never been treated as well as I was at The Grape. Everything from the large wine list to the wonderful food menu had me wanting more...and more. I went to The Grape during one of their weekly tastings, I believe it was a Wednesday evening. We ended up staying all night enjoying a wide array of food and wine. The tasting that we enjoyed consisted of 3 generous portions of wine that were selected from all over the world, as well as a light buffet to keep us full. After the tasting we moved on to selecting our own bottle. Now usually when selecting a bottle I have had to guess about flavor, not here, samples were brought out to us so we could make an informed decission. We also selected a few items from the food menu. Let me tell you, their steak sandwich was to die for. A tender piece of filet with a blue cheese sauce. I definately recommend The Grape to everyone.

I gave the Grape an outstanding review about a month ago. Loved it then. But, recently stopped by with some friends from out of town and were we completely disappointed. We unfortunately weren't ready for the wine and wanted coffee's. This must have distressed the waitress and the manager as service was non existent the rest of the time there. When it did please Ms Fullofherself, to take our order and much later delivery our food, we still awaited the basics like forks, knifes and spoons. Still we endured as we and our friends were trying to chat at the table outside. This too proved difficult. I can only imagine that the owners son got an amp and guitar for Christmas because the guy inside that was in theory there to entertain the guest could not sing but he could be loud. Most of the guest inside were driven outside, and it was so loud we could barely hear our own discussion. Again the 'entertainer' was inside, we were outside. I gave up on the Grape when I had asked the manager if he could turn down the volume a bit and he grumbled something and shuffled away. I didn't mean to hurt his feelings. I guess I forgot I'm just a customer.

I went there with my friend on a Saturday night and whilst all the other restauarnts in the St Johns Town Center were on a 1 hour wait, I managed to find a table at the Grape.
I swear, this place is the best kept secret at the mall!
They had a live band and an awesome wine selection. I am not a big wine snob, but they helped me pick a wine that I would enjoy by tasting me on a few different wines before I even had to pay for the glass.
They have a great menu as well, more kind of a tapas style but I really enjoyed it.
There really isn't anything else like this in Jax.
My new favorite wine bar!
