It's a nice concept. I found the following pros and cons.
Pros: The table height is nice. Leaving the mess behind is great. The plastic aprons keep you mostly dry. The big dog air dryer is a nice feature.

Cons: The cost is about $1 per minute. It doesn't matter if you're using the water or not. The timer runs either way. The water is too cold and there isn't enough water pressure. It doesn't use enough shampoo to really lather the dogs coat. The tokens wouldn't register and kept being returned. This is frustrating while trying to bathe a dog.

It cost $20 to bathe my German Shepherd. This place would work well for a smaller dog with shorter hair.

Wow! What a GREAT experience we had when we found Go Dog Wash LLC in Winston-Salem. It was our first experience at a DIY Dog Wash and now don't understand why there aren't more of these around. Making the whole thing even better was Joe the GM we met while there. He even offered and then took a GREAT picture of our first wash with our Golden Retriever. We returned later to do the German Shepherd. If you haven't been, imagine a self-serve dog wash complete with hot/warm water, shampoo, dryer, aprons, etc. all controlled with a timer mechanism on the wall that takes tokens given in exchange for money. No towels though . . . bring one. If you're thinking it's expensive you'd be wrong. Very reasonable . . . especially if you're organized . . .and your pet behaves :-) Give it a try! You'll like it!

If you are the owner reading this --- please note:

The painted floors are VERY slippery when wet --- you might want to get some rubber flooring (with the holes so water will drain down). We wiped out on the floor yesterday and thought, "this is a lawsuit waiting to happen".

Just a thought - otherwise we LOVE your place!

Why haven't didn't we have something like this around a long time ago!!! These are the best tubs. Easy to access. They are low sided so you don't have to reach a lot and the dogs feel comfortable. It was a pleasant, easy and quick experience. When I was finished washing my dog...I didn't feel exhausted and I wasn't soaking wet like at home. They even furnish nice plastic aprons to keep you dry and clean. You could come after church in your church clothes if you wanted to! I even brought my 20 month old daughter to watch and she thought it was entertainment. I'm impressed and will be an ongoing customer.

For anyone who has tried to wash their large dog at home, this place will seem like the best thing since sliced bread!

The Go Dog wash is a self service store front on Jonestown Rd.
It is sort of like a car wash for dogs. You walk the dog up the ramp and wash. All the mess stays. There is a spot to hook up your leash so that they don't get away during the bathing process. If you have ever had a 100 pound lab try to escape from the tub during his bath, you will LOVE this place.
Smells like a wet dog, but isn't that to be expected?

PROS: No mess at home
CONS: getting the dog to cooperate
