First of all, the staff is awesome!!! they are always so friendly specially Philip, he knows how to make you feel confortable. The food is really good also, it what makes this small place different. I tried several dishes and from now I never been disappointed. You should definitely check this place during the week end, it s more fun. Not a fan of the onion soup because they do not melt the cheese and just put it on the side but the rest of the food there is simple but delicious. Just practice your french there, it s a great way to learn !!!

So, I WANT this place to be good, I do. However, every time I've been here, I'm so disappointed! The menu is alright; the food is just blah; the ambiance is not that great. I LOVE breakfast food; I go through the week looking forward to breakfast on Saturdays and brunch on Sundays; this place just does NOT do it for me. I don't understand HOW it gets rated Best of CitySearch!

Cafe Flore is a gem in Beverly Hills. The menu is great. Walk in, get seated, and let them serve it up. Each course is delicious and the manager (or maybe owner) walks around to each and every table to make sure everything is perfect. Good for a date, or good for a group. But in the end, it's about the food and this place delivers on the flavor.

We dined there at the day of Halloween. It's a quiet and decent place, perfect place for dating. As most people said, the server are attentive and polite, We'd escargot stuffed mushroom for the appetizer, it like melt in your mouth. And orange duck and saffron chicken for the main course, they were good too. For the desert, we'd the bread pudding, my husband like it a lot. For this price and services, you could hardly find nowhere in Beverly Hill.

I went to this place for the first time a month or two ago and I am planning my next visit! The service was great and the food was mouth watering! We had the stuffed chicken and ravioli and both were delicious! It's quite smal inside but the ambience is romantic. You can also bring your own wine (and no corkage!), since they don't sell their own. Can't wait to go back!

Perfection! I have been a patron of Cafe Flore for years and have yet to have a meal that wasn't heavenly!
I've celebrated my birthday here, rented the entire cafe for my christmas party AND Fabien & Philippe have catered lunch to production crew and cast of BRAVO TV Reality show "WORKOUT" season 3.
The customer service is amazing and has not changed since the day they opened- unlike many beverly hills establishments that seem to get worse over time. I'm always greeted like a member of the family and have spent many hours dining and laughig with friends and family.
The entire staff greets you with a smile and very attentive to your every need.
I'm in love with every item on the menu and would eat there all day everyday if I could. The salmon is perfectly cooked, the mouth watering pumpkin ravoli will knock your socks off. Even the basic hamburger is moist and cooked just right. The french fries are out of this world! PERFECT everytime. Crispy, but not hard, seasoned and HOT! Whether you are grabbing a latte on the run or sitting down to a family dinner, CAFE FLORE is the best place to dine in Beverly Hills.
The desserts are sinful and should not be avoided! I'm guilty of pulling my car over on Robertson and eating the bread pudding before I get home.
I'm starting a petition for the cafe to be open 24 hours a day! It doesnt get any better than CAFE FLORE!
Yummy in my tummy!!!!!!

This cozy French cafe lives up to its billing at the 2008 pick by Citysearch users for best brunch spot in L.A. The breakfast plates come so beautifully decorated with powdered sugar and strawberries carved to look like flowers. The paintings of Paris on the cream-colored walls and the French placemats decorating the table make diners feel transported to Europe. (The fact that a lot of the customers and wait staff speak French helps, too). From omletttes to traditional chicken dishes, Cafe Flore is a great destination for any meal. However, the big draw here has to be the crepes. The strawberry Nutella one I get is always so thin and crisp; it practically melts in your mouth. It doesn?t taste pancake-y like a lot of other American restaurants trying to do crepes. The salads and sandwiches are a tad more expensive than other area restaurants, but are clearly worth the extra few dollars as soon as you dig in. The turkey sandwich with apples, honey mustard sauce and Swiss cheese I guarantee with send your taste buds into ecstasy. Cafe Flore is definitely a brunch destination in L.A. that should not be missed!

The place if very cute, small and very crowded and wait times can be long. Cool place to go for breakfast/brunch, but be forewarned, it is French restaurant and most of the wait staff are French, so expect the service to be slow and but surprisingly very friendly. Just like in Paris, except for being friendly :) Their eggs Benedict are really good. It's all about the bread they use. I ordered the salmon eggs Benedict. I would go again, but I will make a reservations. Their cheese platters looked interesting, but I haven't tried it yet. May be next time I will grab a bottle of wine from my house and try the cheese platter. A couple of months ago I was in Paris and went to Cafe De Flore in Saint-Germain, paid over $40 for a salad and a glass of wine, and let me tell you, the food in this little place here is a lot better the one in France.

I went on Sunday late morning with high hopes given the pedigree ( french, good reviews...)
It was one of the biggest disapointments
We ordered the chicken sandwich : it was bland , came without a sauce , having a yellow coating that was supposed to be saffron but it only had the color . The steack sandwich for $ 12 was also bland had the same lettuce . Finally we had hopes that the eggplant baguette might save the day but it was also bland ( the same tasteless sandwich ) I am not even sure if there were eggplants as I suspect that they were substituted with zucchini but I am not sure ( it tells you how indifferentiate the taste was)
The server was nice but these people have to change the cook
Where is the pesto , the goey eggplant , the marinated chicken , the caramelized onions that you get anywhere else
cafe flore with such an illustrious name ( one of the nicest brasserie in Paris) does not live up to its name

My wife and I enjoyed this place soo much that we started telling our friends about this restaurant and so far, we've heard nothing but good comments about this place from our friends.

Before you go, make sure you email them to make a reservation because they give you 20% discount for online reservation.

Everytime when we go, we come out with a very full stomach and it didn't hurt our wallet at all.

Yum! Great place to go for brunch on a Sunday morning!

My favorite is the Salmon Benedict, which is a twist on Eggs Benedict, but with Salmon instead of Canadian bacon - Mmm! All their other dishes are good too. I've also had their crepes (my favorite is Amaretto with blueberries, Chicken Farsi (Breast of chicken stuffed with goat cheese and herbs), Smoked duck ravioli, -- you just can't go wrong here!

And, for all you fellow coffee lovers out there, this place has GOOD coffee! I don't know about you, but having bad coffee, no matter how great the meal is, just doesn't cut it for me. Their espresso is one of the best I have had.

Come early, or as a small party, cause this place can get packed quick and there'll be a bit of a wait. But trust me, it's worth it!

Last Saturday night, I invited an out of town friend and his wife for dinner and wanted to keep the tab at a reasonable amount. I picked this place based on the reviews that were posted here on CitySearch and let me tell you, I am not disappointed at all. We started the meal with some pastry stuffed with goat cheese, the owner brought us an extra serving of this with a different taste because he was trying a new recipe and wanted to know our opinion, they were both delicious. We also had some strawberry/baby spinach salad, also great tasting. For dinner, we shared pumpkin ravioli, lamb chops, salmon fettuccini, and stuffed chicken breast. I liked the chicken breast the most but everything was delicious. We topped it all with a couple of nice fruit Crepes. Again, great stuff. The service was very good, a bit slow but the place was packed. If you are going on weekend, definitely make a reservation, or be ready to wait. Take your own bottle of wine, they don?t serve any, but you can get a bottle that you like and pay one third of what you normally pay in a restaurant.

GREAT, GREAT, GREAT! Excellent service, excellent food. Sunday brunch is amazing. Surprised to find the food taste so good. The menu looks your typical French-CA cuisine, but the quality of the food is what makes it different. Highly recommend the pancakes :) as well as any omellette on the menu. :)

I dunno who is getting paid to give this place high ratings but I swear I thought this was a front for organized crime not a restaurant. The food is microwaved and terrible. The place was completely empty and the fake plants out front were scary. Don't trust this rating of "Best of Citysearch" I would like to forget my joke of a lunch.

I usually am not the type to write up reviews but I had such a great experience in this restaurant. My husband and I had Valentine?s dinner here last week. Valentine?s dinner is usually ?special? but also routine. Cafe Flore was nothing like, Complimentary Champaign was great to start with, the food (4 course dinner) was fantastic, service was excellent, warm and friendly, the red rose and heart shaped box of chocolate were romantic. To top it all, one of the customers had arranged a surprise to propose to his girlfriend. Everyone was clapping and it really brought tears to my eyes. It was the best Valentine?s dinner I have had in many years.

This restaurant is quite small so reservation is highly recommended. It is a quite romantic little shop with excellent french dishes that are conventional to the French's standards.

The Duck and Apple Raviolli is the best Ravioli I have ever had. The perfect combination of apples and duck brings out a very intriguing taste. Once you dig in, you cannot stop. The ravioli is full of flavors and the mixture of apples to the duck meat is a great touch, giving the ravioli a slight sweet taste.

I believe the signature dish is the Confit de Canard, which is roasted duck. The meat is tender and soft, with the skin roasted to create a crispy texture. It is an amazing dish.

This is a highly recommended restaurant because of the high quality of the food as well as the decent price on the menu.

My friends and I went to this restaurant for lunch around 1:15 before visiting the LACMA (1.5 miles away). We made a reservation for this thursday meal, and when we arrived, the small place was completely full. We were greeted by one of the owners; both owners were there (as usual, supposedly). We tried their Duck and Apple Ravioli, Pumpkin Ravioli (6 pcs for each order), Tartini, cheese plate, and their famous dessert, and each had its distinctive, delicate and delicious taste. All this at an affordable price left us fully satisfied. I definitely recommend this restaurant to my family and friends.

I walk here for brunch on a regular basis. I love this place! But, everyone else does too, so I wouldn't have reviewed except that I wanted to give you a couple tips. #1) Restaurant-com sells gift certificates for this place. You get a $25 certificate for $10 (or as little as $4 when the website has a special going on). Then you can use this on a meal of $35 and save some dough. This is only for dinner though. #2) If you make reservations 24 hours in advance online for dinner, you get a 20% discount on your meal!

My wife is one of the most finickiest eaters I know and she just loved this place (I did too)! The eggs in the omelettes where fluffy and delicious, the vinaigrette on the crisp greens was well balanced, and the crepe nutella (Chocolate) w/bananas was to die for. The portion size of each dish was adequate; we left very satisfied not stuffed. The service was polite and helpful. Mr. Drey, which is one of the owners, took the time to serve our plates and was very kind. The place is a bit small but I believe it adds to the French cafe ambiance. It is bright with natural light and very clean. This is a must for all of you who love clean and fresh food!

This place has the best French food in Los Angeles. Sure the decore might not be the best, but if you are talking food quality you can't go wrong. The presentation of dishes is beautiful, and the service is second to none. I have been going here for years and will not stop. I am reluctant to review this place because it is so good I don't want to have to worry about getting reservations. Look up the hours before you go they arn't open late on Mondays.

I came here thinking with all the great reviews and "Best" awards, I would be blown away like many others have. Firstly, the place is very casual and bistro like. The wooden tables and chairs are very close together and the restaurant itself is quaint. I believe this is the feeling the owners want though because they wait on you themselves and are very personable. I was surprised they do not have a wine list, being that they are very french, but I guess you can BYOB. The food is very french, good selection, fresh and tasty. Overall, it was a good experience, I had different expectations or it being more romantic and had hoped for a better ambience, perhaps dinner is a different setting.

My friends and I come here for brunch almost every weekend because we always leave wanting more! The pancakes are delicious, the steak is to die for, the eggs benedict use the best hollandaise sauce, the steak sandich is scrumptous and basically anything else you get will be delightful! The service is wonderful too! Phillippe and Fabien are absolutely lovely and always around. The best thing-- dessert! I have fallen in love with their chocolate mousse and I Never liked chocolate mousse before! From the outside you wouldn't expect much, but you will be pleasantly surprised!

Pros: Great food for a great price

Cons: more things to try!

Cafe Flore shows its creative flair with a delicious apple and duck ravioli offering. The menu is varied enough with choices for both the pickiest diners to the more adventurous palate, and above all the food is good. The cappuccino is perfect with the cream custard dessert, which came in the cutest little dessert ramakin with a dome-like cover, and the correct portions. It's easy to escape to France when the staff start speaking French, unlike many French restaurants in LA.

The food simply speaks for itself. A friend and I went for brunch this past Sunday and we were AMAZED. The staff was extremely polite and the gentleman server was extremely knowledgeable and patient with all our questions. I had an egg omelet with smoked salmon, not on the menu, but done in perfection. My friend had the chefs special, Orange Duck, and it was so fantastic. I loved it and I am going back for lunch or dinner sometime this week. And also the price will put a smile on your face. On the bad side, we had to wait to be seated and it was windy.

My Wife and I had our anniversary dinner here last night, I got to admit, at first I was disappointed because I had a different type of place in mind. This is no fancy French restaurant (Such as Le Petit Chateau) but its is kind of fun place to be. The French (Real French) staff/owners go out of their way to make your experience a nice one. The place is Dimly lighted which gives it a very nice romantic setting, but not so dark that you can not see the person across. The service, as I mentioned, was very good, although be it a bit slow. They were packed and seemed a bit overwhelmed. It took about 20 minutes for our appetizers to arrive and 45 minutes for out main dish, but in the meantime we were served some homemade olive paste and French bread toast that was great. For appetizers we had escargot stuffed in mushroom heads, fantastic and spinach and strawberry salad with sweet raspberry dressing, also fantastic. For main course I had their special, Le canard a l'orange, which was half a baby duck roasted on a grill with their home orange sauce on the side, it came with sauteed veggies and mashed potato. This dish was marvelous. We also had stuffed chicken breast, I though the goat cheese filling was a bit too strong but I admit I am not a goat cheese fan. On the other hand, my wife, who is a goat cheese fan, thought that the plate was great. This plate was also normally served with mashed potato and veggies but at our request they were more than happy to replace the mashed potato with some cherry and almond rice. The dessert was their little custard desert that was very rich and delicious. Over all we left the place happy and full. Now some negative points, as I said a bit slow, even for Friday night. Also, they have no valet parking, only street parking, but there were a lot available on the street. No wine, but we could have brought our own as others did (Next time). This place is definitely worth a try.

We waited 45 mintues the other day for 2 salmon salads with french fries and rice. Flore was biting off more than they could chew with taking on huge take out orders that had priority over guests sitting in the restaurant. That was unfortunately, not the worst part of the experience. The salmon was well over cooked and served on top of the exact same "salad" mixture that they use for their tuna salad. Lack of creativity or laziness? Their microwave was in plain site (which I thought was quite daring) and was used to heat up the frozen vegetable package that was thrown into my Uncle Ben's rice mixture. The french fries were great. But I wouldn't serve myself frozen vegetables from the grocery store let alone pay for someone else to do so at a French restaurant.

Their marzipan tart is good but fries and a tart do not make a great place.

My husband and I eat here every weekend for breakfast and we love it! The food is wonderful but what really makes the experience is the customer service. The owners treat you like old friends and are very accommodating. Back to the food though....everything tastes very homemade and fresh, not like it was prepared early in the morning and has been sitting around. Also, you will never be rushed out after your are finished eating --- you only get the check when you ask for it, which we love. Highly recommended for their eggs, french toast, fresh squeezed juice, and cappuccinos!

I had low expectations going into Friday night dinner at Cafe Flore. First, I read the reviews here and wasn't impressed. Secondly, I found out that there's no wine list. Thirdly, the place didn't look like much from across the street. This is where the saying "Don't judge a book by its cover" gained its popularity.

The restaurant is small and cozy and the menu small. But, with food like this, it doesn't have to be extensive. Everything we ordered was phenomenal. I don't mean decent, I mean AMAZING. From the escargot to the Stuffed Chicken, the pumkin-sweet potato ravioi clear though the SECRET dessert. It was all absolutely perfect. My new favorite restaurant. I know this place is known for its breakfast/brunch/lunch and I intend to try it all but I would absolutely recommend trying this place for dinner.

And for the record, although there's no wine list...you can bring your own bottle and there's NO corkage fee!

When I asked what the waiter, at Cafe Flore (possibly owner as well) what he suggested between the turkey ham or ham. His answer was, "I don't eat meat." After I made light that maybe he was the wrong person to ask, he said other customers seems to like them the same. He wasn't very friendly.
I ordered the eggs basted well and they came to me with the yolks broken and cooked overhard. The ham turned out to be three slices of lunch meat, and the potatoes looked beautiful but were very bland.
Other than the food, the place was cute and very clean.
I was hoping for something similar to the recipes at the French Quarter Market Place.

We decided to try Cafe Flore based off the many positive reviews on Citysearch. Cafe Flore is located in Beverly Hills, so there's always a possibility of it turning out to be some "pretentious, high-class eatery," but thankfully it was *nothing* of the sort! Cafe Flore was an *absolute delight*, with amazing food, wonderful ambience, and delightful service!

We went on Mother's Day (Lunch), and were personally served by Philippe Drey, one of the Partners of the restaurant! First off, the ambience must be mentioned! Situated in a charming section of Robertson Blvd. in Beverly Hills, it was wonderful and tastfully done! Very comfortable, and warm, it just brought a smile to everyone's face when we sat down to eat. We were also greeted by the beautiful fresh Rose Petals adorning our table, adding a very romantic charm to the whole endeavor.

And the food! We were truly blown away. I had the Confit de Canard (Duck Legs) and they were wonderfully prepared and delicious. The French Toast was SO light and fluffy, and the berries complemented them perfectly! We were so full, yet we asked about this one enticing-looking dessert on display, which Philippe explained was their restaurant's specialty (he mentioned it by a French name so I don't know the spelling :), but imagine our surprise when we asked for the bill, and Philippe surprised us by giving us a complimentary serving of that special dessert! It was a superb, stunning Custard-like Dessert, with Caramel on the bottom and so finely done, we couldn't stop eating it, despite being so full!

Cafe Flore has become THE best French Cafe / Lunch Spot for our family since this visit! Top Notch and Highly-Recommended! :)

Ventured out to B.H. while staying at a downtown hotel and it was totally worth the trip. I had the 2 eggs with home fries and turkey sausage and it was absolutly delicious. The potatoes are cooked with tons of different vegetables and the eggs are fluffy and flavorful. I'm not exactly sure what went into them, but they were perfect.

I have had lunch here a few times, a friend works down the street and its her favorite spot for lunch, The food is good, nothing fancy, nice salads, homemade soups, very good sandwiches, and some other dishes that are not bad (Their chicken is fantastic). The service is slow, but nothing like Tuk Tuk, it can be faster, but the wait staff is very nice (Cute, French). I had Brunch here 2 Sunday?s ago and It was really good, nice omelets, and their crepes where very good,

Friday night I went for dinner, the place look very different at night. It transforms from a Cafe to a small, cozy bistro. The food is pretty much the same, be it that the dinner portions are larger (Lunch portions are huge to start with). I had the stuffed chicken and it was really good, my friend had the mushroom sauce steak and it was a little rarer than her taste, so they had to redo her steak but after that she said it is good.

This place is the local?s favorite, almost all customers are on first name basis with the owner and they seem to have been there before. I always take this as a good sign.

I really don't understand the great reviews. I've read through the various reviews and I wonder where these people usually dine. Everything is just ok & average. Nothing that horrible or great. Some foods come out alright to good and some are so so to bad. Tried it few times, staff seems friendly, the decor average, and the food slow at times and not what you expect at other times. Not exactly "french", more diverse cafe food. I have had amazing french food in different cities for reasonable prices and this isn't it. The high rating and the reviews are puzzling to me and my friends.

I have never been to Cafe Flore before. I was hoping to try it out tonight, as it has really good reviews online. So I pulled up the menu online and it says that within the "green zone" area of the restaurant, it would deliver any order over $15. When I called to place my $15+ order for delivery within this green zone their website mapped out, my order was denied with the reason that "if I take your order, I would go out of business. It's too little. I just can't do it." I would have been happy to have ordered a few more items to make this order "deliverable" on their terms had the restaurant given me a better reason like we are short on driver or something. But when a restaurant can't comply a service request despite that they advertise this service on their website, it makes me not want their food anymore. This is very unfortunate because I am sure their food is absolutely wonderful from all the reviews I read about online. I just don't want to go there anymore.
