Nov. 2, 2010 Here is my story..... I wanted microbraids because I want to let my hair grow back. I have been letting my short hair style grow out for about 3 months (the back is about an inch and a half and towards the front is about 4-5 inches in length) I went to this shop because I seen a few people who went to this shop that had micros and kinky twist that were really beautiful. My appt was at 8:00 Saturday morning. 9:00 is when someone finally came to open the doors and 9:20 is when my stylist finally got there and started on my hair. I was told that it would take about 6 hours, my hair is thick and I am not new to micros so I knew that meant about 8. I was in the chair from 9:30am until 5:15pm and my hair was only HALF WAY finished!!!! (the outer edges, circumference) I had to leave pick up my children from trick or treating and came back to the shop at 8:30pm. She finally finished at 11:00 p.m. I was soooo sleepy and my head was so tender that I just went to bed, but I knew something didn't feel quite right. The next day I got a mirror and looked at the inside of my hair and it was a DISASTER!!! It looked like my 8 year old braided it!! My hair was sectioned off in these big blocks but with the smallest amount of braiding hair possible. It looked like the braids had been in for about 3 months, like braids on top of an afro!!!! So I called the shop owner (Adja) and she was very apologetic, told me to come back and she would personally fix them. When I got there the next day she was NOWHERE to be found. They said she had to go to Atlanta and the SAME PERSON would do them again. I was VERY VERY reluctant and I told them I would wait and come back the next day. They insisted that it would look like the front of my hair, which I thought was very pretty. It looks better then before but still I am not satisfied. I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER go back or recommend them to ANYONE!!! Not even my cat!!!!! They are suppose to be professional but i have had better micros from the bootleg girls who do them out of their house. I paid an arm, a leg, two toes and a toddler to get these done (I don't have a 180 dollar tree). My head is entirely TOO SORE to keep going back and complaining. I will chalk this one up as a loss, but I have learned a very valuable lesson, Adja's will never touch this again!!!!!

I found this shop on this site. She was able to braid my hair the next day. Nice shop and very professional. Price was reasonable and work was beautiful. I am now a regular client. I have had my hair braided in her shop twice and touch up braids several times. I even had extension sewed in.
