Carmine's Italian Cafe

Often I work late and usually about once week my family and I order out. We recently became fans of Carmine's Cafe and the first meal was very good. So because of the first experience we called them often because they had a bit of variety and that is when it happened. We called and placed an order and after the specified 30 mins we called back. We were told the drive would be with us shortly and 30 min later he finally showed up. We of course paid he left and the food was cold, the wings did not have sauce, and we had to call them back. After talking to three people we all agreed because it was late at that point that i would get a credit for the mess up. I was pleased and let it go. It was not till i called them again that i found out for a meal of 65 dollars that I got a 2 dollar credit. Really bad service. the food on the other had was ok in quality and would have been a little better if it was not cold.

I'm sorry, but I did not make "demands" and I was so NOT rude to you, like I said before, I sat silently until the party of three was seated before us. This was after being there for 40 minutes. There was no chaos for godsakes. I can't believe what you have written! I made NO seen, and the review has EVERYTHING to do with the restaurant. Customer service is just as important as the food. Would you eat somewhere where the management didn't try to find out what was going on and just approach you in this manner? I just barely started speaking when I was given an attitude and that was simply unacceptable. There was a place to sit and it was given away, you asked me to show you where AFTER they sat people down. You were just having a bad day, took it out on me when I questioned your move and now you are making me a difficult customer? To simply ask if a chair could be added to a table is not a demand that is unheard of or difficult. I believe anyone who sits there without saying a word for over 40 minutes can be ruled out of being difficult. ANY establishment would have handled this much differently.
You do not know me so you the fact that you say "consider the source" is unbelievable to me. I am actually kind of glad you posted because this shows the rudeness and the attitude that I experienced that day.

I read the article from Sonia B. regarding the incident at Carmine's Italian Cafe and not being able to seat this customer. There are always two sides to every story and Sonia B. told a gross mistruth, but then, you have to take it from its source.. She was not able to be seated because there were no seats available; she made "demands" to put it mildly on the staff and told the ownership where to move tables to the detriment of other customers who were seated nearby. I witnessed the staff trying to seat her, and trying to accommodate her. I doubt that any establishment would tolerate such rudeness and I, myself, have never experienced a situation in a public place as this woman created. Any other establishment in this city would have asked her to leave the premises. If you are going to rate an establishment, then do so on their food; not on your lack of manners. The chaos she created was witnesses by a great many indivduals who expressed their disbelief that anyone "could act that way in a public place." Sonia B. should weigh her words carefully; more, so, she should be truthful.

Carmine's Italian Cafe is a guaranteed high quality family restaurant. The food is excellent, the interior is cozy and welcoming, and the service is very friendly and family oriented. On most visits, Carmine (the owner) stops by each table and welcomes his guests. The menu offers something for everyone, and the food is fresh and delicious. We love this restaurant, the food, the service, and most of all- the family environment.

I have frequented Carmines since it opened. They had wonderful lunch specials for only $3.95 and that kept me visitng almost daily. Now that they have finally reached the busy point all of the time they have now raised their prices quite a bit. I must sadly say that I won't be eating there as much as I used to, but they do have great food.

PROS: Good Meatballs! They now deliver and have a nice atmosphere.
CONS: Lunch Specials are too expensive! Don't deliver for lunch.
