My review will be, probably, the shortest. I have started my laser hair removal treatment with Dermacare in July-August 2006. I have had thirteen (13) treatments with at best 5 percent reduction of hair so far. I kept telling them that I didn?t see the results. They would not let me cancel the treatment and receive at least a refund of a remaining balance. All they could offer me was one more package. I ended up paying almost $3,000. Customer service?at first I thought it was just NOT good but surprisingly every time it was getting even worse. The conclusion: waste of money, waste of time, bad customer service!

Pros: on time appointment

Cons: did not see any results

This is not a place I would even recommend to my worst enemy. This place is just trying to sell you an outragous package - promising fantastic results. Me and my mom both got a package amost a year ago- AND NO RESULTS. I have so much trouble trying to make appts. The staff is not friendly or professional. I wish I had never heard of this place, I am out over $1,600 and have no results. You try and complain and all they say is the treatments work different on every person. Fine, than why hasnt my mother gotten any results?! Please dont get suckered into signing one of there CONTRACTS!!

Pros: NONE

Cons: ALL YOU CAN THINK OF

If you are considering Dermacare then consider this. Dermacare is a large franchise and as a franchisee Deracare Corp. IS NOT liable for any financial loss you may suffer as a result of a local branch closing it?s doors. This is exactly what happened to myself and hundreds of other existing patients of the Frisco and Valley Ranch store locations in Dallas, TX. Valley Ranch initially closed it?s doors first with no warning at all and supposedly transferred all patient records to the Frisco location. Frisco branch soon closed it?s doors several weeks later following in the footsteps of Valley Ranch. This left patients high and dry and out of big $$$. Make no mistake. I am posting my experience and encourage ANY former patients of these 2 stores to do the same. The internet is very powerful medium. I took the time to research Dermacare and now I am taking the time to post this message in all city search locations. This link is quickly available once you Google the NAME and LOCATION of the Dermacare in question. I have no doubt this will discourage people from making the same mistake I did and end up big money out of pocket that I cannot recover. I am currently working with my Credit Card bank to dispute the charge. Dermacare Corp. was working with existing patients of these locations promising they were looking for potential doctors to reopen the Frisco store and honor patient contracts. Dermacare Corp. now refuses to return phone calls and will not respond to emails. Buyer Beware!!!

Pros: Great facility so as long as the doors stay open

Cons: Photo facial package $$$!

I came to Dermacare for laser hair removal. Basically how that works is they take a wand and drag it over the area where you want to have hair removed, and a laser zaps the hair at the root and it doesn't grow back again. You go 4-6 times, to get the hair in all of its growth cycles.

I shopped around and eventually decided on Dermacare because they were the cheapest and were close to my house. Dermacare is a chain, and they have them all over the country.

My first day there, I had to wait 45 minutes to be seen, and they kept losing my paperwork. They also handed me some safety information about what not to do the few days before your appointment. And I was seeing it for the first time the day of my appointment! When I mentioned this to the woman behind the counter, she didn't seem to understand what the problem was. This gave me the strong impression that my safety and well-being were not important to them.

Every time I went there, they had a different person doing the actual treatment. It would have been nice if they'd set me up with the same person each time.

If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't get my laser hair removal done here. It's not *that* much cheaper, and these days, there's practically one laser hair removal place on every corner. And I felt like they just wanted my money and didn't care too much about customer service.

If I had to give someone who wants this procedure done any advice it would be this: do a lot of shopping around, and go somewhere you are comfortable, and where they go over the details of and preparation for the procedure with you in the consultation, and not just the prices and payment plans. And in the future I'd go somewhere that specializes in hair removal only, and not botox and stuff like that. Also... ask for numbing cream, and show up early so there's enough time for it to kick in!! Laser hair removal hurts (depending on the sensitivity of the area), but with the numbing cream it's no big deal.

Pros: price, free parking

Cons: unprofessional staff, plastic-surgeon-like atmosphere

My wife has been complaining about the hair on my back for years but guys do not care about that kind of thing. But when my daughter started getting embarrassed about it I decided to do something. The folks at Dermacare were terrific. I was made to feel at ease and the results so far have been excellent. People have already noticed a difference and I am not even through with all of the treatments.
