The other day I happened to have dinner at this very authentic place. Mediterranean pizza and salad were so delicious with the best service in Raleigh!

My husband and I either get delivery from here or eat at the restaurant once or more per week as we live very close and love their food. I am a vegetarian and I especially like that I have never had a problem with getting specialized orders (i.e. chicken dishes w/o chicken). We bring family and friends whenever they're in town, and everyone, even an especially picky sibling, has loved it!

Overall, this has definitely been the best tasting Italian food for the best value out of all the restaurants we've tried in the area.

The food is not bad, but it takes forever for them to serve... And its just too cold in the restaurant... I literally had to walk out for a bit to get some warmth. Its worth a visit.

We went to eat here because it was very close to where we live. Honestly, I am not quite sure what anyone means about dinner rush, because the place was deserted. We walk in, and after 3 minutes of waiting around, finally had to call out to see if anyone would answer. Another 2 minutes later or so, someone finally came out to seat us.

The food was bland, and not very good. The alfredo sauce had no flavor, and nothing else seemed to have any seasoning to it what so ever. The fries were about the only good thing.

Don't expect to be able to reference the web site for anything. The hours of operation are WAY off, and the prices are 2-3 dollars more expensive that when you arrive. The entrees state that they come with free salads and garlic bread. When the waiter was asked he shrugged and no. They come with no such thing.

On top of that, given that we were the only people there, the service could have been a bit more attentive. He forgot that I had asked for a side of something extra. Not that I would expect anywhere else to remember, but there were no other patrons at all.

There were also children just sitting up at the bar watching the Disney channel. I love kids, and don't mind them at all, but I feel like the bar is not exactly the place for minors to be sitting.

Prices were ok, for sandwiches etc, but the entrees were a bit over priced, especially with the 3+ dollar gouge from what is being advertised online.

The atmosphere was decent, but the music was darn near depressing. They could be a nice place, but they have LOTS of work to do. We were both sorely disappointed.

I have been to this place once for dinner. The taste was very good. The service was good, but was very very slow. The ambiance is good, but they keep the place chilled!

I would recommend going there if you don't have plans later and trying them out atleast once.

We had a great experience at the Gourmet Factory and we'll definitely be going back. My wife and I went there early on a Thursday evening before the dinner rush and, to be honest, it doesn't look like much from the outside. We briefly debated going elsewhere and decided to give it a try - we're happy we did!

The dining room isn't overly fancy but still has nice ambiance and sets a great mood. The waitstaff is friendly, attentive, courteous, helpful to recommend menu favorites, and provided wonderful service throughout. The menu has Mediterranean appeal with offerings from Italy, Greece, and northern Africa and there is something to offer most anyone. The food was delicious and we didn't have to wait for it. Our side salads were out right after we ordered and were served with homemade focaccia bread. We had the chicken parmesan and chicken piccata - both were excellent. We would have tried the desserts but we were sufficiently stuffed from the good-sized portions, some of which we needed to take home. We definitely got our money's worth and more.

Overall, we had a great time, great food, great service, and we didn't break the bank to get it. Don't let looks fool you!

A hidden restaurant that needs to be discovered!
My wife, my daughter (4) and I went to this restaurant on a Friday night at about 5:30. The service was great, the food even better. The waitstaff was very friendly. ----Here is a run down of what we had:----

--Myself:--
Chicken and Pasta in a Sun Dried Pesto sauce (waiter recommended). It was amazing! The sauce was great, and there is no possibility that it was canned. If I was not out at a restaurant, I probably would have licked my bowl clean - the sauce was that good!
A glass of Pinot Grigio (it went very well with the heavy cream based pesto sauce)

--My Wife:--
Baked Ziti (she requested no Ricotta cheese, and topped with Mozzerella, and they were happy to do it)
She said the tomato sauce was outstanding, and that it to must be home-made.
A glass of Chianti.

--My Daughter:--
Note: There is no menu for kids here. There are things I think most kids would eat, but they get adult sized portions.
Fettuccini Alfredo with Chicken
A glass of Chardonnay (just kidding! she had apple juice!)
She enjoyed it, and I tasted it. Again, very good creamy sauce that is clearly home made.

----
We did not have a chance to try dessert, as there was no way any of us had enough room in our stomach left after the large portions. We ended up bringing home leftovers and will get another meal out of it.
----
I can't recommend this restaurant enough!

Pros: Great food, great prices, restaurant was quiet at 6pm on a Friday night.

Cons: Dark parking lot, somewhat dated appearance inside the restaurant

.

Great atmosphere that has a quiet mood when need be and and it could also have a lively atmosphere if there with your friends, but also a great place that you can grab food to go. This is a quiet place that you can take your friends (there is a bar) or you can have a great meal with your family. The waiters and waitress' are great and very friendly. Definately check it out.

My wife and I had been hearing about this restaurant from one of our close friend and we decided to try it a couple of monts ago. The Gourmet Factory became our favorite restaurant in Raleigh. The restaurant is so great and the patio is a nice retreat. The service is friendly. Prices are very reasonable and portions big. The Gourmet Factory is the restaurant that my wife and I (and kids) would highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and a great time.

I tried many others but they are really good. I talked to the manager of this place about a week ago. he sound very polite. He said that they always try to use freshest possible. Its really easy to notice that is ture. I have not find a place yet who makes their own sauce.
They got about 20 nice dishes plus sub-salad stuff. Definitly worth to try. I Hope they will finish that bar soon.

I've tried this place a number of times because it is close to my work. The name is misleading as there is nothing gourmet about the restaurant. Bring a sweater because it's freezing inside and be prepared for loud pop music. The sandwich deal is good (5.99 sandwich, drink, fries) and the food is basic pizza and sub fare but today we had to wait over an hour for our sandwiches and the place was empty except for 3 other tables. I ordered a calazone as takeout one night and cut it in half when I got home. The cheese inside was unmelted and the sauce was cold like it had just come out of the fridge (I only live 5 minutes away). One good point is that the manager apologized for the late food and the wait staff is friendly and helpful.

You would be hard pressed to find delivery anywhere which meets the standards of this restaurant. The pricing is more than reasonable, expect to get twice what you are paying for. At a local bar or pool hall that does not have food? Order delivery from these guys. Quick service and amazing flavors will surely please.
