Bringing my wifes car here was always interesting. The last time it was there for a recall on a brake switch that had been replaced twice before on the car. In repairing the switch wiring was damamged for an adjecent switch, disabling the cruise control.

When I brought the car back and spoke to the svc mananger (Rick Morris) he said that they'd take care of it, absolutely. When I got back I was handed a bill for repair of a broken wiring harness *and* a broken switch.

The "Explanation" I got was that *both* of these parts, which were fine beforehand, failed *simultaneously* and had nothing to do with the other swtich. It should be noted that the two switches are in close proximity, and because of the VERY limited space in cars with adjustable pedals, can't be seen with a hand in there but reviewing the diagram beforehand one knows which is which.

Long story short, I was told I had to pay for it even though later another mananger (Simpkin) admitted that something they did likely caused the problem- but thought I shouldn't worry about it since I had an extended warranty. Forgetting the deductable, of course.

If you need Ford work, go to the Mercury dealer. They can work on many of the cars there and are somewhat better.
