This park is absolutely a dissapointment. We went there as first time campers and the so-called park rangers did nothing but, make nasty comments to us everytime we entered and left. Not to mention they couldn't afford an electronic gate come on get with the times already.Afterall, not only are you people getting our money but, you are funded by the state for godsakes. As far as the bathrooms I have definitely seen public restrooms in better condition than these where.

As far as the swimming area is concerned, it's appearance is reminiscent of that of a ghetto community pool, but dirtier. There is plenty of parking, but unfortunately there are not enough benches and seating which are commensurate w/the amount of available parking spaces. Otherwise, one would be reduced to setup on some dirt and scant grass which surrounds the area. Also, if you are Caucasian, you will find yourself in the minority. At $1 ADMISSION, you wouldn't be wasting your money, but you'd sure waste your gas money and precious time. Go to the beach ! You are in Florida, for crying out loud !

I used to go to Lithia Springs as a kid in the 70's & 80's with my family & have picnics go swimming & back then the water level was high & it was nice but now since they pump water out of the springs to support the growing area breaks my heart sometimes I hate progress, cause I just went this last Thursday & it ain't what it used to be.

I love to take my grandchildren but the springs were so shallow this last trip and very crowded. The river is filthy and would love to see it cleaned up. Maybe expand the springs swimming area around the corner nearer to the river. I'm sure it could be made swim-able if the other area is. The price is great for a day of swimming. I did overhear from someone working there that our government does not care if the park stays open or not. I hope this is not true. Lithia Springs has been opened for as long as I can remember and it would be a shame to spoil it for future generations. Please show your support for this park even if you have to write a request to see it cleaned up.

I am a nature lover, amateur photographer, and mother of 2 active boy's. It takes me an avg. of 45 min. to get to the park from Lakeland but the drive is so very worth it. We love the park. There's so much to do and with the sweltering heat the spring makes a very nice spot to cool off. We have been 4 times in one month already with more trips to come. They have a campground as well. We will be planning a trip soon.

I come here often when we go camping. The campsites are big and spread out so you aren't on top of your neighbors. The sites and bathrooms are clean. I think the springs are neat, but kind of ugly how they have built concrete walls around it. It used to be a lot more natural looking. The Alafia river is unsafe to swim in so the only place you can swim is the springs. They are so cold and crystal clear, and the park has some neat information on how they form. A must for hot days in Florida if you live in the area.
