Joe's Smog Check & Test Only Station

I showed up with the online coupon promising a DMV smog check for $30 TOTAL (certificate and everything) when everyone else was $58 or more, all told. The technician was friendly, and charged me $30 before I ever produced the coupon. It was so fast, which was great. Finally, when I was leaving, he saw the temporrary permit on my car and reminded me it was expiring that day. I explained it was a holiday and the DMV was closed, and he told me that AAA members get free DMV services, and told me where the nearest office was. Cheapest smog check in town AND he saved me a DMV late fee!

My first choice initially because Joe's was located close to my home. I have a car that has a hard time passing California's strict smog check. Both due to it's age and that it was not bought in CA. Joe's is a very clean place with very friendly and helpful employees. Amazingly, there is no need for an appointment (I just showed up early one Saturday morning and they took my car in right away.) They are very reasonably priced and don't slip in any "extra" or "hidden" costs. I saved even more money with a coupon they offered on the web - and they honored it without any hassles. They were very quick and efficient and I was in and out in no time. Joe is a very nice guy, and in my estimation, very honest. I would gladly take my car back to him or recommend him to anyone.
