2 Stars: Not worth the money (by Karen P.)

The BAAC is great if you want to go back to high school cliques. The women are quite catty there, and if they decide you don't fit in, watch out!! Some of the instructors are pretty snobby, too. The parking lot is often overflowing, and the attempt to improve the pools was weak at best. They recently fired one of the best and most attentive managers they have ever had, and also recently fired one of the best instructors I have ever had. On top of that, it is no longer privately owned as stated by a previous poster. It was sold to the Wellbridge Group, and the rates have been increasing steadily. Cancelling our membership there was the best thing we've done in a long time.

4 Stars: Going here for fifteen years (by andrew c.)

I have been going to this job for a while now and it is a great place to work out. All the gym equipment is very clea and the staff will help you with any workout questions. On numerous occassions I ask the staff about whether certain exercises are appropriate for what I am trying to tone. The gym is big for a local gym and the quality of service is above average.

3 Stars: crowded (by Sandra W.)

The Bel Air Athletic Club is the only the non-chain health club in Harford County. They have the latest equipment and offer great classes. Unfortunately, they dont know when to stop taking in new members. It is always crowded, especially around the New Year. If you can go during off-peak hours, it is fine but if you are like the rest of us that work nine to five, it is tooo crowded!

5 Stars: Great place for families (by Cathy K.)

I love the BAAC for swim lessons in the summer, birthday parties in the winter, and a family-friendly atmosphere year round. They always seem to have the latest machines and classes, as well.

4 Stars: Nice place to work out (by mary c.)

the bel air athletic club is conveniently located near the mall and has ample parking. when you walk in you will appreciate the newly updated equiptment. the vibe is young and people are serious about their workouts. it's a little pricey and more intimidating than say, curves, but you can certainly use this facility to get fit!
