Baum's Natural Foods

I agree entirely with the previous review. The products are top shelf, but the prices are high, even for products that can be purchased just down the street. We often visit Baum's for vitamins and the snack bar is fantastic for a healthy lunch alternative; but only buy our dog food and staple items when the convenience of having the store just around the corner out weighs the extra 25 to 40% charged for the item we are purchasing. I understand that smaller retailers do not have the same buying privileges that the larger retailers do, so I am not offended by the increased cost.

I am on the Atkins Low Carb Diet. I enjoy some of the Atkins products...low carb bars, etc. Baum's Health Food Store has a great selection and will even order items for me if they don't generally carry them. I shop there often and will continue to do so because of the ease of getting products. However, don't expect great prices! There are some products that I can find at Wal-Mart or even Jewel Food Store for half the price that Baum's charges...but those stores won't order special items for me like Baum's will (Jewel says they will but the items never seem to come in or someone "forgets" to place the order). Baum's get 4 stars from me...it would be 5 stars if the prices were better.

CONS: High Prices
