Fun time, horrible food. This a staple to the Denver experience. I wish we had more entertainment restaurants around town.

Yes, the food is horrible. Yes the entertainment is cheesy. yes, the decor is tacky.

YES YOU WILL HAVE FUN!

I still remember the time, many years ago, I got to go up and be a part of the show, kicking the pirate into the water. Good times!

And don't forget to put your flag up for more sopapillas!

This restaurant is huge! with about 8,000 square feet, it has an awesome indoor lagoon with pirate skits and entertainment. Some seating areas are even behind the waterfall going into the lagoon. Food isnt that great considering its so big, its more like a buffet or cafeteria style. Either way its a good time. It has a huge arcade, black beard cave, gift shop and everything else for the family to enjoy. Definitely worth taking the family to at least once.

Over the years, I have heard many people describe Casa Bonita as the worst restaurant in Denver. I believe that their assertions smack of misguided generosity. Simply stated, if Casa Bonita is not the worst restaurant on the face of the earth, it is very close to achieving that uncommon distinction. I believe it was P.T. Barnum who credited his success to never having underestimated the taste of the American public. The line of people waiting to eat the slop-cum-food at Casa Bonita is sad testimony to the veracity of Barnum's cynical statement. To assert that the so-called food at this establishment is Mexican is as absurd as claiming a can of dog food is a steak dinner. As to those who claim to enjoy the vapid entertainment half-heartedly displayed in the dreary cavernous ambiance, I can only respond that "cheesy" must not be a part of their vocabulary. I am reminded of when a colleague attempted to explain the inexplicable to me: "Some people simply have a taste for sh*t."

Another place to take your kids in Denver where they will probably enjoy themselves immensely but the adults may only tolerate it. This large Mexican restaurant/ entertainment center has all sorts of activities and attractions going on to stimulate your kids imagination and wear them out. The food is really not very good but is served very fast, caf style. You must buy their food to get in, no bringing in your own.

Kids can enjoy strolling musicians, a high dive and stunt show, small amusement rides, game arcades, puppet shows, and seemingly endless tunnels and caverns to wander through and explore. My small kids especially enjoyed taking a swing at the piata. Grown-ups shouldnt look to close, the age and wear of the facility may make you cringe. Worth the visit just to see but not a place you would want to visit to often in my opinion.
