But the playground across the street sucks because the security guard thinks he's robo cop! yeah robo cop will harrasse you for your club card. SOoo make sure you bring it with you because even if its your wife and two children alone he'll kick them out until they prove they have a card.

I have been to several clubs in the New Tampa area and CTP is as good as any. The gym is twice the size of Grand Hampton which is much newer. The club is not meant to be a replacement for Lifestyles. The facility is clean, the staff I've dealt with friendly and the facility secured with RF ID cards. You get to the gym and pool from 0600 to 11:00. The gym can be busy but it would be twice as crowded with the smaller gyms of othe club houses. There could be a few updates to some free weights (which you cannot find in most clubs) but it is large enough to allow 10-15 people to exercise a once I you cooperate a little. Although there is not a lap pool there are lap lanes that are available when the pool is not busy. A dedicated lap pool would be nice but is an expensives service for a small number of users. There is a nice play ground and a water slide. There are gas and electric grills around the pool and plenty of room for a cook out. There are 6 tennis courts in the area but I'm not sure which have to be reserved. Generally we can just walk on.

I think this that are unhappy should join the HOA and do something about the things they want fixed or lower their expectations as to what a community club should provide. I appreciate the facility and use it several times a week.

Oh, you people will complain no matter what. Yes, when you use the party facilities, you need to leave it in the same condition or better than you found it. Wahwah, it cost you $50.

There are not 4 pools, there are 3 pools:
Toddlers, Family and Adult only. And no, that doesn't mean topless pool.

Yes, when you live in Tampa Palms, you are required to pay monthly fees, but you cant quit paying.

If you need to be on the exact piece of equipment at the same time as your workout partner, gosh you are strange. Do you insist on using the toilet at the same time?

This is a very nice place - if you don;t like it, don't go there.

Never host a private party at Club Tampa Palms. They are horrible to deal with - they charge for use of the facility, even when you are a member paying regular dues. They have an extremely long contract, and are NASTY about making sure you take out the garbage, clean all the patio furniture, and many other things before you leave. Needless to say, we lost a $50 deposit because they found a few crackers in the pavers after we had a birthday party. They would not even accept my offer to come back and clean up again to their satisfaction. This is after I took out all the garbage, swept the bathrooms, etc. DON'T GO THERE!!

We bought a house in the Ashington subdivision of Tampa Palms North, and were there for 2 years. As a homeowner of Tampa Palms North, you are required to be members of Club Tampa Palms, and therefore pay the monthly $82 fee. We really liked the house we bought, so we only breezed through the Club for a look. After moving in though we tried it out for real, and what a disappointment it was. There is very little gym equipment, and often there is only one of something. Therefore if you go with a partner, you're off doing separate exercises, and not really "working out" together. The pools were nice though, and they have them separated into kids & adults. Even then, when there's a ton of kids screaming around, it's hardly relaxing or peaceful.

PROS: Can walk to club from most the subdivisions in Tampa Palms North.
CONS: Expensive. Limited equipment & services. Not good value at all.
