Cable Cars

Ok, so if you're going to do anything and be a typical tourist you have to ride the the cable cars while in San Francisco. A definite must. Not only do you get a great tour of the different neighborhoods, but the ride up and down the hills is fantastic. You can buy a BART pass and ride all over.

Early in the morning there are no lines and you can get right on. We waited in line one hour to return to our hotel via the cable car. We noticed that the operators will cut the line for money.

This has to be the ultimate public transportation in San Francisco. The service starts at 7th and Market and ends at Ghirardelli Square. It will go up on many hills so you better hold on. The drivers are experts are bell ringing and alot of them competes yearly.

This is truly an experience that everyone that visits San Francisco should do. It is fun and a cool way to get around the city. The drivers are known for the bell ringing technics throughout the country. They even have competitions once a year.

One of it's kind anywhere in the country. It is the coolest way to travel while visiting the hills of San Francisco. Cable cars mainly service the Civic Center area ending at the Fisherman's wharf area. It is a historical experience.

One thing I knew I wanted to do while visiting San Francicso was take the cablke car from Fisherman's Warf to China Town. I did just that last week, It was so cool! The long lines almost made use decide not to take the ride, but I just had to! I am so glad i did! It may not be a convient way to see San Franciso, but it sure is a cool thing to do! Bundle up, I froze the whole way!!
