I was really impressed with this place. The staff was very friendly and I felt well pampered. The facility had everything, a nice lounge to relax in before the massage. The price was comparable to other day spa, but I felt I got more here than other places like Spa Elia in Los Gatos.

Ratings_icons Bet it's nice but homewreckers work there!

Just watch out ladies, the therapist you have may be text messaging and calling your husband after you leave! Found out that my man's 'friend' is employed there and she has a list of other 'friends' even though she herself is married with kids!

They went from being my favorite spa ever to my making the drastic decision to never come back.Make a long story short I have been going regularly for prenatal massages and facials, scheduling at least two months in advance. Got a call the 1 hour before of my appt as I was going out the door, and told my facial was cancelled because the technician called in sick and they couldn't find anyone to come in. I asked if I could receive some type of discount for being inconvenienced and having to reschedule and was told no. I have been a faithful customer for several years. If I had called to cancel the day of they would have charged me in full for the service, requesting a small discount for being inconvenienced should have not been an issue, especially since I know they have comped full services for less.

Ratings_icons An upscale mall

This place got famous in the news after it got burned and then rebuilt again. Anyway, this is an upscale mall with designer brand stores like guccis and coach. I just go there for window shopping.

Ratings_icons great group space for a mother's get away

P J. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,161

Our mother's group had a great day at this spa. The treatments were excellent. The facilities very nice, and big enough to comfortably host all of us (10 people) plus all the other guests. The facial that I received was outstanding.
All the small details, like having a phone booth area where I could make a business call from, made this spa super.

PROS: good treatments, great facilities
CONS:

Ratings_icons very upscale spa

Debbie G. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,547

I have been to a few different spas over the years. Although the staff might vary slightly from spa to spa, I think a big part of the experience is the atmosphere of the spa. Burke Williams is a very large, upscale spa. In my opinion, it does not have a typical spa feel (i.e. brightly lit with marble or slate interior). In fact it seemed very dark, subdued and extremely quiet! You wait for your treatment in recliner chairs that are separated by thick, velvet curtains so that you are sitting in your own little cubby area. Some might find this nice and relaxing, but some might find it a little strange.

I think it would be nice to spend a little more time there to enjoy the facility. There is a large jacuzzi tub for soaking and a nice large area stocked with supplies for "beautifying" after your treatment.

PROS: nice service, very upscale, very quiet
CONS: almost too dark and quiet not to mention pricey

Bruke Williams is pricey, but the spa is great and any appointment gives you access to the whole hot tub, steam room, and all pampering for the entire day. Great place to just go relax for a few hours. The staff is extraordinarily friendly and make you feel at home. I wish I could stay at this place all the time.

Ratings_icons Best Spa in the South Bay

Tiffany T. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,423

Burke Williams is a great gem in the South Bay Area. Located in the Santana Row outdoor mall, Burke Williams is hidden right outside the Valencia hotel. Employees greet you warmly when you walk through the two heavy wooden doors. An additional employee will escort you to your locker where a soft robe and slippers await. You have the option of heading into the hot tub or sauna before your treatment. There is also a quiet waiting room with loungers that you can wait in before your treatment. I have gotten the Savannah Surrender and the regular massage and thought both were excellent. The treatment rooms are quiet and clean, water and snacks are plentiful throughout the spa. The staff is excellent and make you feel welcome.

PROS: friendly staff, calm environment
CONS: parking can be a problem on a busy weekend

The Burke Williams spa is amazing! You are truly pampered here, from the moment you step into the lobby. You get a locker as well as a robe and slippers. The spa wasnt very hot, but was extremely relaxing. I had a great massage after that. The bath area had everything youd ever need, including shampoo, razors, shower gel, etc.

Bruke Williams in Santana Row is pricey, but the spa is great and any appointment gives you access to the whole hot tub-steam room-gigantic showers-cold towels/cucumber slices area for the entire day. Great place to just go relax for a few hours. I know some people got a package that included some 2 for 1 coupons that not everyone has been able to use up. If you can get hold of those, it would be nice to get a massage or something and a 2 for 1

This is a great little place to go shopping, especially if you have money. They have good stores here, such as Urban Outfitters and the like. They have Crate & Barrel, and some expensive designer stores as well. I heard there was a fire here like two months ago?? I don't know, but I think there was.

santana row is a really upscale outdoor mall. they have many restaurants here and some bakeries and boutiques. the stuff they sell here is pretty expensive. they also have a theatre here. the staff are so nice and not as snotty as i thought they were going to be. bad thing is that the parking is so hard to find due to the vast amount of people that come here everyday. usually during 7 o'clock it's crowded. i recommend stopping by cocola and pasta pomodoro

Santana Row is a very nice outdoor mall. They are very small, but the stores that are there are all quality stores. They have a huge Container Store, and a good selection of eateries. Santana Row is perfect for a lazy afternoon stroll and then dinner.

This little outdoor mall is very upscale and features many high class stores. It is great to walk around even if you can't afford shopping there. Great restuarants nearby. Valleyfair mall is right across the street for those who can't afford Santana Row.

One of the latest editions to the SF peninsula shopping experience is Santana Row. Setup as an open-air network of stores (in a row) this collection of high-end retailers provides for unparelled shopping and dining opportunities. Every store you can imagine is within a short walk, and the beautiful outdoor courts provide for a lovely public performance space.

Ratings_icons Upscale Outdoor Shopping Area - Where all the popular people go

Tornado W. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 7,442

Santana Row was recently rebuilt and has many nice boutiques / shops, restaurants, and lofts for sale. That's right, you heard me, lofts.

There is also a nightclub there that is pretty happening and popular among many locals. Santana Row is interesting in that sometimes you see stars there, and sometimes you see tourists there. The shopping area is one street that spans about 3-4 blocks. Alot of the restaurants have outdoor dining available. There is even a Borders bookstore there if you to get away from all of the high society boutiques in the shopping area.

Santana Row is a new generation of shopping area, in that it caters to mid-high income patrons (they sell lofts there to goodness sakes). Don't let the rich architecture overwhelm you, people there are friendly.

PROS: Up-scale shopping area full of students, tourists, stars, and the average person. Great outdoor setup. Good food. Place to see people and be seen by people. Give it a visit, just so you can say you were there.

Ratings_icons HORRIBLE PLACE

Ambergraywhite

BEWARE OF SANTANA ROW
First - don't purchase SANTANA ROW gift cards. They charge extraordinary fees - $2.50 a month.....a $100 gift card can quickly become worthless if you don't use it. I thought this was illegal in California but apparently, there are loop holes like charging a monthly finance fee.

I tried several times to get to Santana Row to use my new gift card but could NEVER FIND PARKING...sure, there's parking in the morning during the week but I work so I usually had to go in the evenings or during the weekend....no parking...finally gave up and left.

SO BE WARNED!

Pros: H&M

Cons: Customer Service and Parking

Ratings_icons Sino Restaurant is the best restaurant and lounge!

jmaya

Sino Restaurant is an impressive modern NY style restaurant in the middle of San Jose! Finally, a 'chic' restaurant and lounge that delivers great ambiance, food, and service! I've been waiting for a sophisticated restaurant to knock me and my 'Sex and the City' friends off our feet, and now we are there every week-end!
I threw an exclusive birthday party in the beautiful banquet room on the 'dragon menu' (which isn't available on the regular menu and for large groups only). It included foie gras, sashumi, Chinese pork loin, Peking Duck, etc...the food was endless, extravagent, and delicious! The food and service were so smooth and great, I could actually sit back and enjoy the evening without saying a word! Very impressive! Thank you Sino for a wonderful experience!

Pros: Ambiance, food, & service
