don't expect for the manager to hear your complaint if they charge your too much or don't do the service right. i got the teeth whitening and they were not working and it comes in three sessions at once and after the second session and not seeing any results the girl tells me that she will tell the ladies at the front desk not to charge me with all three sessions. that they would charge me with just the two i used. well the manager said no after my day was complete and wouldn't even offer me the last session.

Gym was OK, not a lot of equipment. They have a very small pool and it's hard to swim laps. The one time I DID swim, there were some nasty things in the water such as one of those dental floss/toothpick things. Oh, and if you DO move and get them the information to cancel and refund your fee-they conveniently lose your documentation (well, they tell you that YOU never sent them the appropriate documentation.
The arrogance of the staff and their office management is unmatched.

I went to renaissance today as a mother's day gift from my children. Everything went good until it was time for me to leave. Part of the package my children paid for I was suppose to get a robe. They didnt have one for me. Well that's not good business . One of the three ladies standing there said they did not realize I was to get one. I was not just walking in, I had an appointment for more than a week. That sure put a damper on a otherwise good experience.

I went to the Renaissance European Day Spa Purdue location for the first time yesterday. I had to share my FABULOUS experience! If you are looking for a great massage to really work out those sore tired muscles, see Melissa. She worked wonders on me. Also, I had a facial with Daniel which was second to none. My skin is super sensetive ans sometimes facial make me break out but this one felt great, and make my skin look and feel firm and smooth with no pimples! Aside form that, they offer smothies, coffee, tea and wine while your waiting as well as free fruits, veggies and water so you can snack in the beautiful lounge area while you wait. It was so relaxing and inviting. The best spa I have ever been to and I have traveled throughout the US and internationally!

The day Spa may be great, but their contract for regular use is not worth it. Be careful their "military clause" isn't a real one in the sense that if you PCS or get deployed you can get out of your contract. I've been stuck in mine since Dec of 2007, even though I moved to Tx. I live on the border of one of their affiliates that is not somewhere I would go even if I lived close. Therefore I am stuck! Every month they take almost $60 out of my account. Another 6 mo and my husband and I will be free... but until then bye bye money.

Too expensive and crappy customer service. You will never get out of your contract even if you are unhappy with the lack of services. Don't ever sign a contract with this place.

Too crowded! No way to get out of contract, even if you are unhappy with the crowds and lack of space! Won't return calls or respond to letters. It may look better than the others in town, but it isn't worth it.

The contracts (3 years!) are IMPOSSIBLE to get out of (must move 30 MILES away from any of their affiliate gyms to get out, regardless of your driving time). The nursery attendants are lazy, they call you out of your workout to come get your child if they cry for more than a few minutes or if they need a diaper change). Save yourself the time, hassle, trouble, and MONEY, DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT!

This gym is too small for the number of clients after work (5-7PM). I've been to a few classes and the yoga ones aren't in quiet environment I can hear the pool and the foyer. The views of how to train in cycling vary from instructor to instructor. There seems to be a clique in these classes, and its hard to be the new person.
There is a 20 min limit on cardio machines at the Eutaw location and a wait list for that 20 min.
Shop around and make sure you read all the fine print, the gym is actually administrated by a financial company so like any business on Bragg boulevard, use caution and have a friend look at the contract before you sign up.

The spa offers good childcare during workout and spa services. The locker rooms have showers, dressing rooms, sauna, steam room, and whirl pool. They have great exercise classes and personal trainers. The spa is one of a kind with their friendly staff and above standard service. The atmosphere alone is enough to make you feel better and the prices are very reasonable.

There is nothing better then being pampered. And if pampering is what you want, and all of us love to be pampered then this is the place to go. I was given a full day at this spa and I want to tell you I went in tense and crabby and came out the Diva that I am.
The massage, the facial, hair styling all were exceptional. I would expect this service in Los Angeles or NYC. I was actually pleasantly surprised.
I will return.

PROS: good quality service

The nail and hair technicians and massage specialists are well -groomed and polite. The atmosphere is lovely and the music is appropriate and soothing -- if you come on the right night, you may can even catch a live jazz band! It's a great value for the high quality of service you receive and nice atmosphere.

You can also enjoy drinks from a smoothie/juice bar, wine and snacks with your service.

I'm not sure what is wrong with the woman who posted earlier with the low rating, but the answer to her problem of not receiving her alcoholic beverage is simple. You have to tell them what comes included with your particular gift certificate package when you make the appointment or at least before you receive the service -- they have no way of knowing what package your friend put together for you unless you tell them or even that you're using a gift certificate until after the appointment when you pay (by gift certificate.) Politely saying "Oh, I think I'm supposed to receive a glass of wine" or "I would enjoy wine with this service" would have brought the bar attendant running. A brief refresher in logic or simple assertiveness would have solved her "problems" with Renaissance.

Certainly the nicest place in Fayetteville and the surrounding areas to go, and I prefer it to most places in Chapel Hill/Durham as well.

PROS: music, atmosphere, ambience, quality of service
CONS: location

The Renaissance European Day Spa sounds great. I got a gift certificate to go there from a friend. The building is nice and it is very clean and there are plenty of employees. The gift card said that an alcoholic beverage and snack would be included in my visit. I was not offered anything and had to ask. Eventually, I was given a paper cup of water. The massage was for 30 minutes and I was in and out of the room in under 20 minutes. I will never go there again. It was a huge disappointment.

PROS:
CONS: doesn't meet expectations
