Collegetown Video

I am not a big fan of Collegetown Video. The biggest, and in my opinion, only advantage they have is location. They are located in collegetown and cater heavily to the student market in the area. Most people don't have cars and therefore can't easily get to better movie stores so they are forced to go to Collegetown Video. I think the selection is average, but my biggest gripe concerns quality. Numerous times, my friends or I have rented a DVD there only to come home and find that it was so scratched that it wouldn't even play. Also, the rentals are for a much shorter time than you can get at the other movie stores in the area like Hollywood Video.

The best thing about it is that it is right down in the college town, and you can just walk to there and grab a movie when you go to have dinner.
It also provides services other than movie rental, such as notestaking, which is very convenient for students.

This is a fairly average video store. It is fairly small, so they cannot stock as many movies as a chain such as Blockbuster, but it is still average for the needs of the nearby college community. Their are often long lines and service can be slow, but they do have most new movies.

PROS: decent movie selection
CONS: long lines, slow service
