Sometimes you can find some nice things. But, "PLEASE DO NOT SELL YOUR THINGS"!!!! You will get ripped off. I had over 80 pieces of clothing and received less than $20 in store credit, & they say you get 20% more with store credit. Total garbage.

Theres one girl that works here and she turns down all your stuff. She never smiles and is miserable..but the rest of the staff is friendly and helpful. Trust me youll notice her as soon as you walk in the place.

I have never sold any clothes to this store, but the clothes I have bought are beautiful. I have found more designer good looking clothes here than any other consignment store. So sorry to hear thereis trouble on the other end for those selling clothes.

RIP OFF DO NOT SELL YOUR BEAUTIFUL CLOTHING AND TOYS TO THIS STORE.... I also was given 23.00 for clothing with tags, brand new winter coats with tags, several halloween costumes, phillies clothing, and fun toys with brand new batteries. It averaged out about 1.oo per item. I would have surely refused this agreement but by the time I was able to get a hold of anyone on the phone they had already put my stuff on the floor to sell. When I went to collect my big 23.00 dollars I walked around the store to see what they had priced my items for 12.99 for the coats 9.99 for the new clothing, 5.99 AND 7.99 for the halloween costumes, the baby supplies and toy prices made me a bit sick. Donate your items to goodwill. It is not wourth the gas and time in line

I've been shopping at Kid to Kid for 13 years, almost since they first opened. I went on insider pages the other day to look up a resaurant and came accross some reviews about my favorite store. I was truely shocked, I'm wondering if they are all shopping in the same store my friends and I are. I have NEVER had a bad experience at Kid to Kid. I always find exactly what I'm looking for and if I don't I go back a day or two later and usually find it, and more. Since I have been shopping there the prices have stayed very reasonable and constant, I can't say that for any other store I shop in especially with this economy. Who would expect any store not to make a profit how ridiculous is it for someone to suggest otherwise. In reading other people's negetive comments I am completely disgusted by the lack of respect and the name calling. These girls and women who work in this store are nothing but nice and extremely helpful and if they fight with customers its only because the customer usually provokes it. The customers want a big payout. Really, you expect $5.00 for a target t shirt? As I am writing this I find i am getting more upset with the ignorance of my fellow consumers. Really do you expect the workers not to eat lunch? Don't worry kid to kid we've got your back!!!!!

If you decide to take your merchandize to kid to kid to sell, please don't. They are not fair at all. I took one bike, one bottle warmer, one bed trail, one fisher price tot wheels, one pair of shoes, one fisher price aquirium and they give me $23 for all. My merchandize were all in excellent conditions. Since I stayed in line for one and half hours I decied to take the money but then when I was thinking about it I could have sold them on craiglist or on a garage sale instead of letting kid to kid make a lot of money on my merchandize, or simply I could have donated them to kids who needed them. Kid to Kid should stop throwing dust on people's eyes.

Never take your merchanize to Kid To Kid for a trade.\r
You would make a lot more than they pay for your merchandizes on a garage sale or on craiglist. It's better you make that money on your merchandize by selling them directly to whom

I have shopped at Kid to Kid for years, and to be fair you can at times find good deals on clothing when they have their 25-50 percent off sales. However I will never shop there again. My first bad experience was when I had brought in clothes and baby equipment to be sold . They accepted about 20 outfits (6 of which still had the tags on) a exercsaucer, a bouncy seat and a bottle warmer. They offered my eighteen dollars in cash, or 20% more in store credit. I was floored, or should I say robbed, but I was only going to donate the stuff anyway so I accepted the money. Flash forward three years later and I found myself pregnant again. To save money I would stop in now and then and look for bargains. I was in there last Friday with my three children and wanted to purchase a push-car. I asked them to hold it for me , So I could get my larger car, which would be Sat or Sun. The woman said no problem took my name and number wrote in on a hold slip and put it on the car. I went back on Sunday only to find that the store was closed, which the woman never mentioned to me. I went back Monday morning about 25 minutes after they had opened. To find out that they had just sold my car. No Sorry or anything just a cocky response when I asked why put something on hold if your going to just sell it to anyone. I got four different answers, one was when we put things on hold it is only for the day. Which was not the case the woman had told me she could hold it for a day or two. Another was If someone really wants something and it is on hold we usually sell it. When I asked why they didn't call me Monday morning to see why I hadn't come in to get it, I was told we don't call anyone thats not up to us, they why I asked did you take my name and phone number and put it on the toy? They just looked at me. In a nutshell the help are rude, impatient and a bunch of idiots. They rip you off, and nobody there has a clue.

I have such a love-hate relationship with Kid to Kid. When I take stuff to consign, I am continually shocked at the stuff they take as compared to the stuff they return to me. I'm always further shocked when I then go poking around the racks and see some used up, washed-out stuff that I would never consider buying.

At the same time, I've gotten some great deals on a stroller, some baby accessories, rain boots, and outerwear. I have bought maternity clothes from them, too.

It's weird to me that they're so unfriendly to children - they have a tiny, walled off "corral" where you can park your kid with a couple blocks in front of a TV, and the hairy eyeball comes poking out of any staff member that sees you without your kid plastered to your side. Heaven forbid they touch a toy.

Before visiting the Drexel Hill kid to kid store On March 7,2008. I went to their website to view the procedure for selling items. The site read that only toys in gift giving condition and high in clothing are accepted. Well, I gathered all of the excellent condition fisher price and leap frog learning toys my 2 yr old had. Her age should speak for itself, the toys were handeled by adults during teaching time. I sold about 15 toys, which included working batteries. When I arrived at the store, the store manager wasn't very customer friendly he was made aware that this was my first time with disregard he rushed me along picking out the toys while tossing them from my box into their basket. "No this wont sell, no we dont need this okay we'll take this and call you later". I was stunned. Well I did receive a call Sat afternoon stating that I will be paid $10. I disagreed with this amt. I called the store back immediately during business hours, I was forwarded to the answering machine 3xs, I then emailed the company to request a pick up of the items.I would have felt better donating and then claiming on my taxes. I received a call that monday stating too late items on the shelf. Oh not to mention you only have 3 days to pick up your money or you will get store credit only. when I went to pick up my millions I looked to see what my items were being sold for, well lets just say Kid to Kid will make $70 off of all the items I sold them and yes I made $10 (boy was that a steal Literally) Heck of a mark up huh. well needless to say I wont allow myself to be robbed again. One of lifes learning lessons.

Pros: great concept

Cons: does not pay enough for the hi end items requested.

Because a friend had recommended highly, I decided to go to Kid to Kid one day with all three kids (ages 8, 6, and 3). With all three kids in tow, I was sort of dreading the shopping experience. You know how kids can be in some stores. I was also skeptical because I had never shopped in a resale or consignment store. I always bought my kids' stuff new.
We arrived around 11 AM and the front of the store looked a bit tired (sign was in need of some repair), but there was a little Pink door that my kids saw and they were really excited to go through it.("Mommy, it's just my size!", said my three year old girl.)Once getting inside, it was very refreshing, although it was a bit hectic with people dropping off their gently worn items and waiting for the Kid to Kid staff to check through it. I immediately saw a kids' play area (sort of like a big playpen) with a TV and toys in it. I put the boys and my daughter in there and went off to browse through the store.
Everything was organized in aan easy to shop layout and it was very neatly colorized as well. The boys'selection on this day was not as good as their girls' selection, but I found some awesome deals. $7.99 for almost new GAP jeans and khakis. I got a Ralph Lauren bathing suit for $5.99. I also picked up 4 Lilly Pulitzer dresses for my daughter for $14.99 each! Everything was in like new condition. I couldn't believe it!
The staff in the store were very friendly and helpful when asked for some help. One girl even helped my daughter out when she atsrted crying because of something her brother had done. They had so much to choose from and a great selection of new toys and one of the best, if not THE BEST Hair accessory selection in the area.
Since then I have gone back four times. It's almost addictive because they get new stuff in every day. I have told many people about this store and they have all said the same thing. Check it out!

Pros: Parking, Staff, Hair accessories

Cons: Not enough selection of Boys' stuff

They're a little over priced and you definately won't get the best deals. I've had better luck at one day consignment sales sponsored by local MOMs clubs or at other stores. Their selection is average. However, it's worth a trip from time to time because you might luck out.

I took my son here once to get some clothes and they had a great selection of garments to choose from. Sometime the sizes were lacking but all clothing was in great shape for a second hand store and the prices seemed pretty good to me. I will return to this establishment and see what else is in store for my son. The employees were very cheery and the store was very clean.

PROS: Great Selection, Price
CONS: Sizes.

This is a second hand store. The items here are hit or miss. They carry a variety of items. The clothes are a bit higher priced for used but usually well worth the little extra expense. You have to visit often to get the best rices on the things that go quickly.
