I have been going to Pet Barn for years, even when they were at their other location. Besides the staff being very knowledgeable and helpful, they carry a great assortment of quality food and treats. I so much prefer shopping there than at one of the larger chain stores.
My dog also loves to visit Pet Barn, and gets lots of treats/attention when she does.
This is a small pet supply place. They do not sell animals. They have lots of gourmet treats and collars, leashes, and more. They sponsor rescue leagues and have them in often for adoption days. The one complaint I have is they sell greenies in bulk and they put them out in a bin. Greenies are designed to be moist and when they begin to dry out they start to curl. I'll just not buy my greenies here. Buying in bulk doesn't seem to be cheaper. Other than that this place is fantastic!
Pet Barn is a small botique type store for pet supplies. They carry a wonderful assortment of dog and cat treats, baked good and toys. They also carry high quality cat and dog food as well as a line of organic food for various rodents and birds. They carry a nice selection of feeding dishes and collars for cats and dogs and a smaller number of supplies for other animals. This is a great store to buy your pet friend a gift.
This pet store is not that big, but it has all the things that are needed for the usual pets. If you have something different than usual, you would be better served at a Pet Super store. There is ample parking for all pet store patrons, since it is in the Burtonsville Crossing.
PROS: ample parking, a lot of items
CONS: does not have the things necessary for the non-usual pet
