Cinemark Palace at the Plaza

The VIP room makes it an awesome experience to watch a movie. I highly recommend it for people who enjoy movies without the noisy distractions of young children.

The Palace is in a great location to take in a quick movie after a day of shopping on the Plaza. The VIP room is a whole other option where you can have a drink while enjoying the latest feature.

Although Cinemark is a chain, the Palace location on Kansas City's Country Club Plaza is their only location with a VIP room. The VIP room features leather reclining seats with leg rests, private bathrooms, limited seating (around 40), no children allowed and waitstaff to bring hot appetizers, wine, beer, or just refill your popcorn mid-movie. Its a bit expensive on Friday and Saturday, but the rest of the week tickets are only $10, not much more than a regular ticket, and it is worth the price to be able to lean back, stretch out your legs and watch a movie in comfort without being cramped in the back row or listening to a toddler scream over the soundtrack.
