Daddy's Junky Music is a Boston staple. Good location near Berkeley College of Music and is convenient if you need strings, picks, etc.. I recently purchased a guitar strap for my niece.

Typical Chain Music Store

Daddy's Junky Music on Mass Ave. is ok I guess if you need something in a bind, but overall their selection is poor, the staff there is very annoying and sticks to you like glue. In particular their selection of basses is horrible.
