This is my favorite little spot in Boston. I ate in their somewhat food court and I always go to the same little soup store. I don't know the name of it - but they have the absolute best lobster bisque EVER!!!

Faneuil Hall is a very large area of boston. It is a very long, large building. Almost like a huge hallway filled with restaurants of EVERY kind. Everything from soups to seafood to spanish food. Smoothies and Ice cream too. Prices are varied from place to place, but yiu'll never see anything like this ever. They have another part which is filled with people's carts. They sell all sorts of trickets and clothing item at cheap prices. Would definitely recommend.

Faneuil Hall Marketplace islocated to historic Faneuil Hall in the heart of old Boston. In 1742, Bostons wealthiest merchant, Peter Faneuil, built Faneuil Hall as a personal gift to the city of Boston. In 1826 the marketplace was expanded and the new section was dubbed "Quincy Market".

Every time I go it is different. The market place is decorated according to the seasons and attracts everyone young and old alike. There are shops and pushcarts that sell everything from Boston bean pots to Indian handicrafts. Food ranges from hot dogs to fine dining.

Parking is extremelylimited. There are parking garages nearby but are very expensive. Best way to get there is via the "T" subway.

Persons who have trouble walking should take care going over the cobblestone areas.

PROS: so much variety
CONS: difficult to get to

My husband and I nearly stumbled upon the marketplace, after visiting the New England Aquarium nearby - yes we were tourists visiting the city. There are so many dining options, all at pretty reasonable prices. We got food from the Boston and Maine Co. - I had a chicken wrap with clam chowder - the wrap was a little heavy on the lettuce, but not bad; the chowder was the highlight - very tasty, with the right amount of salt and seasoning - DELICIOUS! This chowder beats the socks off the chowder at Legal Sea Foods (which I also tried while in Boston). My husband had the chili and buffalo chicken wrap and he said both were tasty. We walked a bit to North End and got dessert from a little italian bakery (not sure of the name) and then brought it back to the marketplace and had it with nice hot Starbucks. Great place; its a must see!

Pros: Lots of choices, price is good

Cons: Very busy, might be hard to find seating if you have a big group

A cartoon version of Boston's past, tidied up, prettified, and made palatable for tourists so that they needn't take the time to explore the real city. Locals avoid this place like the plague.

Fanueil Hall is more than a shopping experience, it's a visit to the town square. Food, nightclubs, people watching, buskers - it's so much more than mere shopping, it's a whole day/nite experience. No admission charge! I drive from Harford to spend the day there.

Pros: free admittance, lots to do and see, a full day experience

Cons: Lack of Toilets, Needs more seating, bad parking

The Atmosphere is fantastic. It is not only a great tourist atrraction, but a great place to hang out with friends and family. With such a large variety it is difficult to choose what you would like to eat. Faneuil Hall is a huge cultural melting-pot, so if you want a taste of Italy or a taste of good ol' American food, Faneuil Hall has got your tongue.

Pros: Exoitic, Great Variety, Warm-Environment

Cons: No parking

if you're visiting boston for the first time, you've got to check this out. it's touristy, but it's a great place to walk around and get a bite to eat, plus it's near lots of great historical sites. get off at park street and walk over, it's a lovely stroll past the cemetery where paul revere's buried.
