I took my dog in for neutering today. 06-19-2012. These are the most unfriendly, hateful people I've ever dealt with in my 43 years on this earth. This place smacks of bureaucracy without bureaucratic controls or any accountability at all. I can't understand how some of the people I dealt with today weren't fired, right there on the spot. The Nashville Humane Society is not worthy of it's benefactors. I would suggest that people support some other worthy cause in Nashville. This one has grown beyond it's stated mission, and has become bloated and arrogant.

I've been adopting cats and dogs from this place for years, have had zero problems, and recently came to volunteer. I'm horrified at how irresponsible people are by not spaying and neutering their animals and by casually dropping their pets off like garbage at this place's doorstep. If you volunteered and saw how dozens of new animals are dropped off every week and still managed to get adopted out over the weekend (thank God - because there is only so much room for all of them!), maybe you would step up and be more responsible for your pet. The place is non-profit and it never ceases to amaze me how clean and efficient the organization is run. I wish people would smarten up about their pets and stop dumping their problems on them.

I can't say enough good about this organization. \r

There's no reason not to spay or neuter. If you need rabies shots, this is the place to go.\r
\r
For a $10 donation my pet was spayed, wormed, shots and her nails were clipped.\r
\r
Way to go you guys!!!! Thank you!

I volunteered at this Association and found the facility to be very clean. The pets are kept in clean, fairly big cages. The cats have a shelf in their cage to climb on to look out the window. All cats have windows. All pets are also taken out daily for walks. I would recommend to anyone.
