This is what happened - After letting Irma talk me into alterations I did not need (feeling she should know best) she insisted I owed her a $35. balance. She couldn't find her record (little pieces of paper) showing I paid an additional $35. for a special color over the phone. I originally paid in full for the dress and corset but she called me a week later telling me I owed an additional $35. and she would not order the dress until it was paid. I was on vacation so I offered her the balance to be paid on my credit card. She said ok but never notated the payment on her copy of the receipt. When checking out, she insisted I owed it because it wasn't noted on my receipt but I explained I paid over the phone. She totally acted like I was cheating her and ruined my experience. I have also heard her speak to her employees in a very rude manner that definitely doesn't look good. I have to tell you that the only reason I go there is because I have no problem dealing with Irma and letting her know when she is wrong and mostly because her staff are angels. Her business could be so much nicer. I was surprised to see some other reviews with the same experiences!

The worst and rudest sales people ever . you sign in and wait after an hr . they say oh your only picking up i will go get it .lol that didn't happen . When they did call her they got the dress put her in a dressing room and left sales lady came up front called another name i thought she was done . Next thing my daughter called me and ask me to come to the dressing room the lady just left her there NEVER CAME BACK. So i went an took her away from the other customers and said the dress was way to big she is a 0 it needs alterations she said oh yeh your right .Then i said you do no the wedding is in 3 weeks oh let me get the manager IRMA . after 10 min of the whispering off to the side she came over acted like she had been waiting on her for hr .REALLY . Then Irma said we must have her measured Monday or your dress won't be ready we orderd the dress 5 month ago they just came in this week ,now we have to rush for you are you kidding. Then she said $ 95 dollars for alterations and a rush job you didn't even measure her right . I have no reason to think you will do alterations right and don't even like the there customer service . so we took the dress and left $ 200 dollars and the dress is way too big ,,I can see a little but that much no . They need to not measure brides and bridemaids in the front among people looking at dresses bad system rude sales people an IRMA is just a off . she dosn't care if your happy or not .all about the money this is a special day for brides and the wedding party . she needs to close her doors go back to where ever she came from rude old HIG ... the dress is pretty but never shop there again... Some where down the line it will hurt her bussiness....

Irma saved my wedding day. I purchased a dress at Nordtroms, although I loved it,it was inappropriate for a cathedral wedding in Italy. After dinner next door, I happened to pop in to Irmas shop. She asked me a few questions about my wedding and the next thing you know, she had me in the dressing room in the perfect dress! My waist cinched in like Scarlet O'Hara! Thank God I didn't show up in the little cocktail dress! The shop itself is so beautiful- really puts you in the mood.Irma is a pleasure to work with and after 20 or 25 years in the business, she really knows her stuff! The shoes though couldnt be put on a rush order

I have been searching for a Mother of the Groom dress and felt kind of discouraged.
After shopping at 7 bridal salons I decided to go to just one more. It was Sunday and I
stopped in at Irma's only to discover that Sundays were appointments only. Irma reassured
me that I would definitely find my dress there and graciously offered me several catalogs
to look at while she helped her customers who had appointments. It became obvious to me that
this dress shop had the best selection and the prices were reasonable. I returned the next day
and I think I found my dress. I felt that Kathy was so helpful and knowledgeable. She rescued me
from feeling discouraged and Irma was very reassuring.

I went to Irma's Bridal to shop for bridesmaid dresses for my June 2011 wedding. The staff is very patient and caring. They really took their time with me and my sister who is my Maid Of Honor. They made great suggestions and were very pleasant. I have been to many other bridal shops who just care about making the sale. This is surely not the case at Irma's

My son got married on May 8, 2010. I shopped at about 7 other stores before I went to Irma's. She was without a doubt the most knowledgeable, kindest, and genuine owner I had encountered. She was helpful and she knows what looks good on you. I was afraid at first because I had seen another review which was not very favorable about Irma's, but this was not so at all. My dress was ordered, and came in on time, the fitting was perfect (the seamstress was also amazing). I received many compliments on my dress and I felt wonderful in it. Irma was very helpful and caring about our special day, I would recommend her bridal store over any of the other stores I went to. Thank you, Irma!!!

After spending several weeks of shopping for the ??perfect? junior prom dress a colleague mentioned Irma??s Bridal. With only 4 weeks until the prom and running out of time, we headed over to Irma??s. Within minutes of entering the store I knew we were in the right place. We were greeted by a very personable woman, Irma, who showed my daughter dress after dress trying desperately to find her that ??perfect? dress. After quite a bit of time Irma decided to try a different approach. She sat down with my daughter and had her look through catalogs asking ??what do you like or dislike about this dress.? The next thing I knew Irma pulled out two dresses of which my daughter loved both. They were exactly what she was looking for. Three weeks later we had the dress; alterations and all.
My experience with Irma was exceptional. I was very impressed with the amount of time she spent with us and the level of patience she had. She really cares?.
The prices were exceptional and service was above and beyond.

While Irma's has a great selection of designers, you are better off using the internet, going to your favorite designers website and finding another shop in the area that is an authorized retailer. I went to Irma's because they carried Maggie Sotero, PC Mary's Bridal. and Bill Levkoff and I was familiar with where they were located. My wedding is March 7, 2009 so after a couple of months of looking through magazines and website pictures, I had a vision of what I wanted and went to Irma's with my list of gowns I wanted to try on. The first gown I put on was the Maggie Sotero that I went for and it was ultimately the gown that I chose. This was early August of 2008. Now that my gown was selected, I decided it was time to work on the rest of the bridal party. On August 23, 2008 I brought both of the mom's, the maid of honor, and 3 bridesmaids to the shop with me. Everyone picked out the gowns that they were going to wear for the wedding and everything seemed to be going fine until it came time to order the gowns. The sales staff kept insisting that everyone needed to order gowns that were 4-6 sizes larger then what they had just had on, even though those sizes from the same designer, fit fine. They insulted all 3 of the bridesmaids and told them they were fat and that the only reason those gowns fit were because they were stretched out from being tried on so much. I was completely unaware of satin's inherent ability to stretch as though it were a cotton ball but needless to say we ordered the gowns in the sizes we needed and not what was recommended for the sake of increased alterations costs. The gowns totaled $3130.00 and we had to leave a 50% deposit on the order. My future mother-in-law put $100.00 towards each bridesmaids gown as a gift to them, which was $7.50 more then what needed to be left in order to meet the half down requirement. 3 hours after leaving the shop, Irma called me to say that one of my bridesmaids ordered a size 18 so she would have to pay a little more then the other girls so she wanted to charge an additional $13 to the credit card for the deposit. I couldn't believe that after she was just given $1595.00 for the deposit of 7 gowns, she would have the nerve to call me for $13! In November Irma called me to ask if my gown was supposed to be a corset back or zip up back. I was horrified and asked her if she was just now ordering my gown. She assured me that she had ordered it months before but that the manufacturer wanted to know. The second week of December, the gowns for the mom's arrived but there was no word on my gown or the bridesmaids. The shop closed down for the holidays from December 20, to January 5, 2009. I called the shop on the 5th to ask where the gowns were and was told that they would be in within two weeks. I never heard from them so I called at the end of the second week and was told that they would now be in by the third week of January. Again, they never called me, so at the end of the third week of January, I called them and they said they would get back to me but never called. It was now six weeks until my wedding. On Monday, I went to the shop to demand to know where the gowns were and Irma then informed me that the designers factory had closed permanently and that we would not have any gowns coming. I couldn't believe that gowns that were on order for almost 6 full months were not coming and it was hard for me to understand why a factory closing down that very day would have affected my gowns. She did manage to call and track down my wedding gown and said that it had shipped and was on the way. I told her that I would be back on Friday to pick up the girls deposit money and that I would expect to pick up my gown. I asked that if it came in to the store in the meantime to please call me. I left in search of new bridesmaids gowns and thankfully was able to get them through David's Bridal. When I went back on Friday to get the deposit back from the girls gowns, I was shocked to find out that my gown had arrived on Tuesday, the day after I left the shop in a panic over not having bridesmaids gowns, but they told me that they had just gotten VERY busy and must have forgotten to call. Do yourself a favor, avoid this shop at all costs! There are other reputable bridal salons in the area that carry a wide selection of the best designers so there is no reason to subject yourself to the poor service and risky business practices of this salon.

My daughter purchased her wedding gown here as well as her future mother-in-law and myself. The service is OUTSTANDING! Irma is one of a kind and has an eye for the "perfect gown". Each dress was gorgeous and fit your personality and budget. Any problems encountered, which were from the factory regarding the bridal gown, was handled profesionally and quickly! Seamstress was so accomodating. Prices were great. Compliments received at the wedding on the gowns were non-stop. Cannot say enough good things about this salon or Irma.

I was very happy about my experience at Irma's. I picked a wedding dress of my dreams. It was the first one I picked out and the only one I tried on. I didn't have any size issues for the one I picked out was just my size and any further adjustments were made by my grandmother. If you get friendly with Irma she'll even give you a discount so she must not be just about making an extra buck off of everyone. I bought my dress last minute and I could not be happier with Irma's store, selection or service.

When purchasing a wedding gown for your big day, remember, you have a choice. Irma's definitely has great selection, but follow-through and customer service are of the poorest caliber possible. I was to have ordered a size 4 wedding dress for my big day, as I was told that was the smallest dress size to order (I am a street size 0), and Irma ordered a size 8! Please be careful, as you may not receive what you thought you had purchased, and you only have your special moment once.

I would not recommend this bridal salon to anyone! Please go somewhere else for your bridal attire! Irma is not customer service oriented and she is only concerned with making a profit through extra charges and inflated fees for alterations! First of all they strongly suggested I order a dress two sizes too big. I wear a size 8 and they suggested a 12! I also had to pay a fee for extra length because I am tall. I went along with all of this because I figured Irma's Bridal could be trusted. Of course, when the dress arrived, it tremendously over-sized so here come the dollar signs for the alterations. The seamstress had to take the dress in everywhere! On top of that Irma and her seamstress have a very thick accent so I had to listen closely to make sure I understood what they were saying. To make a long story short my dress was supposed to have a train but the seamstress cut it off! I was the only one in the bridal party who's dress did not have a train! Irma refused to compensate me for the alterations or the fee for the extra length that was cut off! When the bride saw the dress before the wedding she was very upset! We tried to discuss this problem with Irma to see what could be done. She refused work with us, or rectify the problem in anyway! I will add that she grudgingly returned $25.00 but not a cent more! The dress was only $160.00 and I spent $135.00 for alterations and her miscellaneous fees! I understand I could have walked away with nothing but she could have at least compensated for the extra length that was cut off! Irma's runs a lucrative business which services the Marlton, Cherry Hill and Voorhees areas. She probably feels she does not have to take responsibility for errors or mishaps because her salon receives a lot of business! However, word of mouth is the best way to express the truth about poor customer service. So here you have it!

I came here for my senior prom dress and I loved it and they worked with me well. However my sister just went for her prom dress and loved the selection they had but the people there ruined the dress she picked out. Thankfully they are replacing it for her.
