We did the factory tour here and it consisted of walking down a hallway that bordered the manufacturing plant. There were windows to look through to see the workers performing various jobs for the machines. There was no human guide. In fact the woman located at the entrance was not too friendly. It takes about 5 minutes if you milk it and could be done in 1. I love touring businesses but I felt like this was just done to lure you in to their gift shop where they are happy to sell you their products. I can do without a hat that says Cape Cod Potato Chips! Too bad because the machines were interesting and theirs is a good business for capturing the minds of little ones and the future engineers of the world.

My first trip to see the making of the Cape Cod potato chips was this past summer. My son and I went in the middle of the day, we walked the hall but didn't see a whole lot. The machines that were running were in the back so we really didn't see much. You are not allowed to take pictures in the factory. They do have signs on the wall that explain what kind of potatoes and how many chips they make in a day. They also make popcorn. At the end of the hallway was the gift shop. That's where you get your free samples. We got a wavy chip and the low fat one. They also had samples in the counter to try. The items for sale are a little on the expensive though.
