Having been a patron of Walmart for many years, I frequent them because of their low prices and large inventory. Having lived in several areas of Knoxville, I have experience in other stores and can compare their services with this one. When visiting friends on numerous occasions, I have had the opportunity to visit this store. Each time I have shopped there has been an unsatisfactory experience because of the quality of their employees, the deplorable customer service in most departments and the safety issues. This store is consistent with one thing....you have to stand in line for up to 30 minutes whether you are checking out, taking a product back to customer service or picking up a prescription! Even though their pharmacist are cordial...their technicians are extremely rude and there are long waiting lines. Don't even try to take back something because you will be retained at the front entry and treated like a criminal for 10 minutes before you are allowed to proceed to the Customer Service Dept for another interrogation. Their parking lot is very unsafe (cars have been broken in to in broad daylight!) and filled with pan-handlers AND they do not enforce fire safety codes by allowing people to park in the Fire Zones. Thank goodness Walgreens, Food City and Lowes have opened stores in the area so this community has alternative choices for buying groceries, filling prescriptions, renting videos, having film developed and their home and garden needs!
