I was an avid fan and supporter of this Camp Bow Wow location until mid August. I had recommended this place to several of my friends prior to the incident with my dog. I took my German Shepherd puppy (Kojak) there for about 2 months during the summer. One Friday night when I picked him up on the way home I noticed he was bleeding on his right side. I called the camp right away and noone on the staff noticed anything wrong with him. This was troublesome to me because my dog is very vocal and I could not imagine that there was no blood or that he did not yelp in pain. Needless to say, no one heard or saw what happened. After a trip to the emergency vet, NorthStar, the result was a 3 inch laceration that required sutures and a drain. I thought it might have been a dog bite but was told by the vet it appeared to be a cut or rip. Basically his skin had been ripped from his side. It was not a superficial tear. Imagine peeling back a top of a can and seeing the contents. That is what the injury looked like. The next day, I went to the Camp and was told they had to review the tapes, but noone saw anything unusual. Two weeks later I am still not aware of what happened to my dog. Apparently nothing was revealed on the tapes or by the staff. I was told by the owner that it was some type of fluke and could not be explained. What concerns me is that I have no closure on what happened and how long my dog was in pain and neglected. What also made me upset was that I had to contact the Camp for an update on what happened. Not once did anyone call me to keep me apprised of their investigation. The owner called me only after I requested to speak to her directly. For the vet bill of $700, I was offered 30 days of free day care. I was never concerned with the cost, but it is interesting that they admit they were responsible but cannot tell me what happened. What was also amazing to me is that they would expect me to bring my dog back to place that was negligent when he was in their care. I asked to see the tapes myself and the owner agreed. I called and asked to review the tapes last Friday and still have not heard back from the Camp. I saw all of the positive reviews and really trusted this place with my dog. He loved going there and got along well with the other dogs and staff. My greatest disappointment is that I misjudged their committment to ensuring the care of my dog while he was at the Camp. I would advise dog owners that are thinking of using this Camp to ask questions and to just be cautious and aware of their pets while at the Camp. I also hope that whatever caused my dog's injury has been corrected at the Camp so that no other dog is harmed.

the camper cams have een down the past two days. kids are heartbroken. skip this place. there are plenty of other good, clean places for your dog at half the price of this place. don't know what we are paying for.

We left our puppy at the Lawrenceville Camp Bow Wow for 8 days while we were on vacation, but for 6 of those days, the Camper Cams were down, so we weren't able to view him remotely. When we picked him up we requested a discount, and the owner went ballistic on us! She was extremely rude, without even offering an apology, saying it's not her problem. When we pay that much to put our dog up overnight, we expect to receive full service or at least, an apology. She insisted that the only reason we left him there was that it was the only one not full (clearly untrue, as we didn't call any other locations) - wonder why they're the only one not booked?

This is a really nice kennel.. I have taken my dog there on 2 occasions. They have a lot of extras for puppies. They are reasonably price and not overcrowded like some kennels I have seen. Would recommend.
