Amazing pizza, amazing sauce, amazing crust and one thing I have never found with other restaurants in Nashville: consistency. I've been here many times, brought friends from all over the country and have had consistently good pizza every time. I seriously dream about their pizza. Their salad is also to die for. Great atmosphere and patio. It is the best pizza in town, hands down.

Pros: Consistent greatness

Cons: wish they had fountain pop

My wife and I are West-Enders, but we were looking for a new pizza place and happened upon PIzza Real across the river. The first good thing was the outdoor seating, which provides a gorgeous view of Five Points and downtown beyond. There were some fireworks from the Sounds game going on at the same time, which made things that much better.

The menu is small, but choices aren't really necessary when the pizza is so good! There are two "speciality" pizzas, the Napoli and the Spinaci. They're both very complex pizzas. We tried the Napoli and were amazed. Everything about the pizza screamed "fresh," and the ingredients were new and interesting. The service was very attentive, and the family atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable.

If I could change one thing, I would include basil leaves with the Mezethakia, but that's just a personal preference, and the Mezethakia are a great appetizer as they come!

In summary: itane poli orea kai thartoume piso! :)

Pros: Most importantly, the pizza, but everything about the experience was A+

Pizze Real is the real deal. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and pizza like my Momma used to make. No canned Tomatoes and quality cheese, not oily or greasy but fresh. A great alternative to the Pizza chain stores. When I travel to Nashville I must always go to Pizze Real. I can't wait to go back, I've been there five times and I have never been disappointed.Bring the Fam.

Absolutely the BEST pizza in East Nashville, and one of the best in Nashville. Fresh ingredients, quick service, and an inviting atmosphere. The menu is pretty basic-- your options are a smattering of kebabs, pizza, and 2 salads. Both the Greek salad and the pizzas were fantastic. I only wish they would expand the menu to include some more salads, zucchini sticks, and maybe some fresh mozzarella sticks.

My husband, myself and our 2-year-old decided to check out Pizze Real because we have yet to find a great pizza restaurant where pizza is treated with respect. We really enjoyed Pizze Real. My husband is a Chef so needless to say he has high expectations. There was a lot of attention to detail with fresh ingredients. We got the speciality pizza, Pizza Spinaci, and it did not dissapoint. Delicious and a lot of flavor. We could tell the fresh ingredients used, dough, cheese, tomatoes, spinach. Yummy. Everyone was really nice and treated us well, very friendly and professionally. We will definitely go back and try thier build-it-yourself pizza next. Go and give it a try. .

Food as art, atmosphere, simple creative elegance. You have dreamed of Italian food that melts in your mouth and leaves a craving that lasts for days. Imagine that but with a twist. Original and creative cuisine that would be as welcome in Napoli as it is in East Nashville. Fresh basil, garlic, home made dough, combine to provide a unique and exhilerating taste experience. Try the Spinacci and you will be back within 24 hours, I promise. As a child I went to Italy just once and Pizza Real rekindles those fond memories. There is real love in this food. You won't be dissapointed.

the review entitled "if you like rudeness this is your place" is out of place for more than one reason.

first of all, assuming the writer, who calls himself "singular_sensation", is telling the truth (he's lying through his teeth, more on that), it is still a violation of the citysearch terms of use unaccteptable content rule #4, which clearly states that reviews which do not have anything to do with the goods or services of a business are not acceptable. the writer very plainly says that he would never patronize pizzereal because he "called to ask a simple question and was hung up on by an apparently disgruntled man." if he admittedly has never been, nor will ever go to pizzereal, how could he possibly be rewiewing the goods or services pizzereal has to offer? it is by definition, not possible.

secondly, the only male who answers the phone at pizzereal is the OWNER, and he would NEVER hang up on a customer. how do I know this? I AM the owner of pizzereal, that's how! IT NEVER HAPPENED!!

third, the author of this review is a person with an agenda, likely the same who wrote another (since removed) bogus "review" under the name dinner_dindin, and a lot more than likely, a competitor. this makes him also in violation of unacceptable content rule #3, which says that reviews written by a competitor, or an employee are not acceptable.

I tried to point these facts out to the powers at citysearch, with no luck. I also tried to post my side of the story, again with no luck. (maybe this time?)

i urge the reader to read all reviews on my restaurant at this, and other sites, before making up his or her mind to patronize pizzereal.

i also urge citysearch to be more perceptive when it comes to posting these bogus reviews. i have a reputation to uphold and a family to feed. the reason you should give me your business however, is that I simply make the freshest, most delicious pizza available anywhere at any price.

thank you

Pros: good food, good atmosphere, good price

Cons: none

.

Great pizza, not crowded, order the mezathakia, sit by the fireplace or get a view of downtown!

the only downer is the ditzy waitress (you'll know if you get her) but the food makes up for it!

i went in one Saturday afternoon without knowing they are closed but the owner served me anyway!
i'm a fan!

You never hear this place mentioned when most non-eastsiders mention good Nashville pizza places. However, this places makes my favorite pizza in Nashville. The service is good, the ingredients fresh and top-quality, and the final product is second to none in nashville. They might not be the cheapest pizza joint in town, but they're a far sight better than most.

Pros: great pizza, near my house

Cons: limited menu, limited seating

Pizzereal offers a solid Boston style pizza. They aren't particularly cheap, but the bones - sauce, crust and ingredients - are all top notch. Good for takeout or sit down dining.
