This is a HORRIBLE place to buy a vehicle. They prey on desperate people with poor credit and not enough money for a down payment at a reputable dealer. The last car I bought here was a complete POS...the check engine light literally went on as I was driving it home from the dealership..how convenient for them! I called them as I was driving (I had JUST signed the paperwork 10 minutes prior) and was told "just bring it back tomorrow, its probably nothing!" I brought it back (had to take time off from work), they gave me some story about a faulty gas cap. And since it was a foreign car, I would have to wait until they ordered one. A week passed...then another one...then another...every time I would call I would get another story. Then one night I was driving and my entire exhaust system blew apart. I had the car towed to them, pretty much everything under the car and some stuff in the engine had to be replaced. This of course took another month, and what did they give me in the meantime...a minivan that had very obviously been involved in a serious accident...the steering wheel was a different color than the rest of the interior (a sign that the air bag has gone off) and the seat belts weren't even there...they had been cut! This isn't even legal in NH! So I finally get my car back (that I am making payments on) and what happens...about two months later the engine blew. I called them and told them that I was done, and to come and get their car. So bottom line, I didn't even have this car for six months and I am stuck with a repossession on my credit report. Save your money for a down payment at a dealership that actually cares about their customers and the cars that they sell.

It's horrible. I had to buy from them a second time only because the first car had a leak that they couldn't find. I am guessing it was probably a head gasket leak, but anyway, mylandlord was not happy with me because it was leaking on the asphalt and killing the grass...
so in desperation, i obtained another vehicle from WMA and it is horrible. I am going to stop making payment and they can come and get it....

so on the way home from massachusetts last night (and i should have known better) the car broke down...it was 12:00 midnight, dark roads with me and my two boys...had to call the state trooper to help me and my boys get a ride home. It was like 20 miles away from my house....the car just died, and wouldnt start up again...on ROUTE 93!!!!!

I am paying a loan on a vehicle I bought from WMA and I do not recommend anyone buy from them. Yes, for someone with poor credit and not enough money to buy a car from a real dealership, the offer is pretty sweet that they offer you but they are all very sleazy and big time liars. Not the way a company should be run. You'll be better off going on Craigslist and finding a vehicle there.

We bought a jeep at White Mountain Auto and right about when we finished paying it off, we started having some major problems with it so we took it back to WMA and traded it in for another jeep. Naturally, as with any "buy here/pay here" companies, we paid far more than either vehicle was worth but you do what you have to. We set our payments up for every two weeks, rather than weekly as we did with the first one and paid regularly that way for several months. I found I could make payments online so one paydate I tried it. I got a message saying that there was an error and the payment hadn't gone through and that I had to re-submit it. Prior to doing so, I checked my bank account balance and saw that the payment had in fact been deducted from my checking account so I did not re-submit it. This was on a Saturday on the date our payment was due. Two weeks later when our next payment was due, I got tied up and didn't get down to WMA to make the payment. I had the cash in hand but not in my account so I couldn't do it online and I just assumed that on Monday I would go down and pay it. Well, imagine my surprise when I woke up Monday morning to find that my car had been repossessed in the middle of the night. Apparently, 5 days after making the online payment, the money was reversed back into my checking account and since I didn't check my balance I was unaware of it. Instead of calling or sending me a letter White Mountain Auto just came and took my vehicle without any warning. One payment was two weeks late (although I wasn't aware of it) and the next payment was one day late. I went to WMA as soon as they opened, assuming all I would have to do is pay the two payments and a small tow fee (we live less than a mile from the dealership where it was towed to). Again, the surprise is on me when I'm told I have to pay the two payments as well as a $300 towing fee!!! And believe it or not they even charged me a $5 late fee! I now had to come up with $505 in order to get my vehicle back and naturally they wouldn't let us pay extra each week until we paid it all even though we had been customers in good standing for nearly 2 and a half years. I don't care if I have to beg borrow or steal but I will never buy another vehicle from White Mountain Auto nor would I ever recommend it to anyone.
