Great Expectations

I'm new to Nashville and joined GE the first month I came here, I've been a member for two months now. So far, I have met 2 men and went on great dates. The first one wasn't really for me but we are FRIENDS today! So it was refreshing to meet a new person and make a friend. The 2nd man, well lets just say, I am freezing my membership! I want to see where this goes! He's great! It's refreshing to meet someone that actually LOOKS like their photos! No more eharmony, where you get a great picture of a really good looking man and then you meet and disappointment is everywhere! Did you take those pictures in highschool! Anyway, The price, hmm..one could say that it may be higher than those internet dating sites, but I found that I am so worth the investment to find the right man!

Attention:Owner of GE (who no one will disclose) and Lori,After the initial meeting with Kelly and her closing the deal tactics. Starting at $8000.00 and claiming that I need "conditioning to get back in the game". Kelly said she doesn't usually take clients but would personally work with me, which I was taken back be her demeanor and professional conduct. Reading you brochure and how GE operates are total polar opposites. I even tried to have my credit card company dispute the charge so I could walk away. Come to find out while I was trying to walk away after the way I was treated, Kelly doesn't work there anymore. Every one there is very tight lipped about Kelly and many other occurrences that happen?? I have spoke with Lori 1x regarding this and she claimed she would meet with me to discuss the day I met with Rhian to take pictures. Lori never made any attempt to provide any kind of customer service what so ever that day or any other. I moved forward to give it a shot since I paid $2600.00 and according to Lori was their no way to get out and GE would be a great experience (GE brochure and reality not even close). I have spoken with many who feel the same way and have all been quoted different pricing and if they don't sign right up then they will loose the great deal they are being offered, what a joke. I also find out you charge for member on line, never told by Kelly. I could go on with more of these unethical business practices I have encountered that you all use to sign up clients that are just looking for a great service to begin a relationship. I request that my membership be canceled and all info removed from your web pages and any where else, effective immediately. I do not want it to be on and say inactive, as you many like that on your site. Why is that? Seems their are more inactive than active?? I have also sent this off with more detail to the Better Business Bureau. Also Face Book members service where you advertise (hopefully they will protect their users from GE). Zero customer service - never would I ever send anyone to them for dating. Nerver a call back - as if they would read all reviews before entering!!

I have been a member of GE-Nashville for almost a year now, and I curse the day I was bamboozled in to joining. I have been on zero dates, found that only a few of their members match the criteria I requested and have invested over $1,500.00. I have complained and complained, only to be directed from one owner to the next to the next. Please, please check Ripoffreport.com and do your research on line about GE-Nashville before wasting your money.

Great Expectations is just that. All expectations and NO delivery. They don't ever answer their phone or e-mails and they don't deliver on their promises. When I went in to interview, I was shown all kinds of very attractive women in the Nashville area. However, when I got on line in my own home, NOT ONE OF THOSE SAME WOMEN were in the Nashville women to choose from. Add to that, I don't believe any of the attractive women even were current subscribers to GE. Almost to a woman, they have not even replied to my inquiries and the ones that did said "No. No reason given." I am a nice looking guy and the "counselor" for GE had me knowing I was about to be inundated with women knocking down my door. Didn't even get a postcard for my money. This company sucks BIG TIME. Save your money. Don't buy their sales crap or their service!

I Joined Great Expectations 5 weeks ago. I have had a blast so far. 3 Dates, 2 events, and lots of great times. I am taking my time with this but it is hard with the quality dates I have had so far. On the Internet it seemed like emails, IM's No selections or responses, and then dates I couldn't recognize when I got there. Here people are responsive, interested, not wanting to play email and photo games, and look exactly like there profile picture. I value a good relationship more than money, so the cost of a membership was made affordable, and I now know it is worth ever penny. Love the service I have got ton from this company (Especially Laura) and I recommend it highly to anyone serious about meeting someone special of quality.

I walked out after the lady told me the membership was $4995.
Some called me 3 or 4 times a day to try to get me to come in. They won't give any prices over the phone because they are so expensive.

I am an older guy just breaking 50. Where am I supposed to go to find singles at my age. Went to the bars, and felt like an idiot. Tried the Internet, but I am not into all of those chat and email games. I just didn't have time to play games, and didn't know how to meet any decent woman. I was called on a profile I filled out by Great Expectations. After meeting with Laura, I felt this was the way to go. I was right. So far I have had 3 good dates and 1 great date that I am seeing her again on Friday. I hope she is the one, and I am at least dating again and having fun. I have had nothing but a solid, comfortable, and relaxed dating experience with nice people. I think this is a fantastic program for people who want to take it slow and find quality people. Glad I joined.

Sorry I don't give anyone a perfect score, but this company is close. Not a place for a short term thinker, as the people here are looking for relationships, and not a flash in the pan experience. There is a large selection of many different types of people, and they tend to be on the classy side, and not rough and vulgar. I have been to 3 events some better than others, but all of them good. All of my dates I could recognize when I went to meet them as they actually looked like their photo's. All the profiles have been accurate up to this time, and of the 5 dates all have been good but one. Patience is a virtue at Great Expectations, as there are new members constantly coming in the membership. I think I have one now but who knows. The best thing about this service is the people who work there are very attentive to your needs, and unlike the Internet sites, I actually get selected often, and people actually respond back to you. Love the service and Highly recommend it to people who qualify.

Been a Great Expectations Member for 8 months. I have never seen a service so focused on relationships rather than a one niter type date. The members seem to be all interested in dating people who are capable, and not looking to take advantage. I am with someone I really like now and I feel it is going some where. I have dated quite a few, but have really only had one bad date. Member events were OK, but I have enjoyed being a member. I paid a membership fee which was no where near 4000.00 (Don't know what that other woman is talking about). I do know the company is under new ownership and my fee was affordable for me and I am no millionairess. Anyway, I suggest you check this place out if you are single, You wont regret it.

I paid $4000 + membership dues, never met any attractive men, and was a member for two years. I recently met my fiance at match.com. Great Expectations Nashville was a waste of time and money.

I joined Great Expectations a 1 1/2 months ago, and I am allready dating someone exclusively after only dating 3 ladies. I met her at an event and then went back and selected her. Having a wonderful time and love this service. Its not cheap but neither are the people you meet. Great place to meet good people.

Before I joined Great Expectations, I was having to meet people at church groups (No one There at All), Bars (Drunken One liners), and the Internet (They want only one thing). I went to great expectations where I joined in April. Though they said it would take some time to match up in their system, anything was better than what I was allready trying. It wasnt cheap, but I did get immediate results. I have went out with 4 different guys, and now I am thinking this one may be it. I went to a couple member events, and they were fun. I met Mike there and he then later selected me. I don't know where it will go, but I really enjoy this service, and reccomend it highly. By far the best of all I have tried. The staff is fantastic, and the service is great. Anyone who is single should check this out.

After meeting horrible dates on match, plenty of fish, and Eharmony at a cost of over $800.00 in all, and hundreds of dollars on bad dates which were going no where, I finally called Great Expectations. They treated me great, and I purchased a membership at what I considered a reasonable price. After meeting several wonderful ladies, and going to a number of fun and exciting events, I finally met the perfect one after only about 4 months. We are engaged to be married, and Great Expectations is the reason we are together. I could have never found the quality of dates I received, or found that special someone without their help. The membership was a group of very fine people, and I would have paid double my membership cost to have enjoyed this experience. Thank you Great Expectations Nashville for all you have done for me and Marie.

I called this company and asked for the cost and they told me that I had to come in for an interview to learn the price. OK, so anyway they wanted some personal information to do a background check, and then later I found that they checked my credit, I assume that was to find out if I could afford the $3000+ price tag. When I said no to the price they negotiated it down to the point that I didn't feel comfortable doing business with them. I would be very careful of this high pressure sales team and their secret pricing game.

I have been a member for a few months and love it! They have a new director who is doing alot of great things with the place and the quality of the singles there is unsurpassed. They are careful who they sign into membership and interview each person prior to signing them and they do complete back ground checks! I say if you are single and tired of the bars, etc. and want to find the right person for your life, then Great Expectations is the place to go!

PROS: lots of members, fun activities, everyone receives personal attention/help
CONS: not cheap, but worth the price!
