I used this gym for over three years and when I finally went to cancel after not using it for quite awhile all I got was lies and hassles. They pretend that they make it hard to join because they are selective of who they let join, yeah right. They seem to take all denominations of cash and coins, negotiable checks and especially love to set up auto charge to any credit card or bank debit card most likely because it makes it real easy for them to keep ripping you off when cancellation time comes. If it happens like it did with me, you will have a battle on your hands when you try to cancel. They should tell you they are selective who they let cancel not join. Interestingly when you ask around to people you know it is amazing at how many others have been scammed this way to. The gyms are overcrowded and dirty. During my time there I never saw anyone clean the equipment ever and it seem evident by all the dust, grease marks and sweaty fingerprints and shoeprints that they didn't. All the hand wip containers are empty alot so either the gyms are overcrowded or they do not stock up and replace enough hand wipes or both. I got a foot fungus twice from walking around the shower room floors when getting showered and dressed but I guess that could be expected.

Now this is all based on my experience only of course but anyone interested in joining may want to do some more research and there is much feedback that can be found in many places. Do your due diligence like I wish I had done before I joined. Good Luck!

I have never been happier with this gym. I use 2 other facilities that they have but Mt. Laurel is great. The variety of equipment is great and gives you a lot to work with. I use a trainer in this club and they know just how to set you up on a program that WORKS. I have lost weight and inches since joining the facility and would never go anywhere else!!!!

I signed up for membership on September 2, 2008 and at that time I was told that I was allowed to have a guest visitor join me at a rate of $12.00. I was also told that most people are not accepted into the club and that's how they manage over crowding. The gym is always crowded.

On September 13, 2008 I took a visitor in and was asked to hand over $12.00. They wanted my guest to offer her drivers licienes and social security ans we questioned the practice.

One of the owners of the company, Mike, informed me that because the company was privately owned and not corporate he had the right to ask for anthing her wanted and to change the fees himself at anytime. He told me that at that moment the guest fee of $12.00 would now be $17.00. He turned to the two Customer Service Representatives and told them to start to charge $17.00 for all guest visitors from that point forward.

Guest fee of 12.00 changed to $17.00 without any notice and it seem only for me and my guest. The site suffers from being overcrowded and the machines with internet service are broken.

As the contract services and requirements changed for me at that moment, I decided to cancel my membership. I was informed that I must cancel between 10am-6pm Monday. On Monday the 15th, Mike told me that I was not allowed to canel my membership without paying an A/R fee and he would not explain what the fee included.

I joined Future Fitness 6 months ago, and I'm happy I did. There's a wide variety of group classes, and the instructors are the best I have found. You get personal training sessions free (included in your membership fee) every month, and I'm only paying $39.00 a month! I really like the monthly examination by their nurse, who does all my measurements, check my weight, blood pressure, and body fat. These are free services that I never got anywhere else. Now, I love my gym!

The initial tour takes a little time (45 minutes or so) but it's because there's a lot to see. I'm glad I went there after I visited 2 other clubs, because it gave me something to compare. Their prices are the same or less than the competition, and you get a lot more for your money. No question they don't want "riff raff" in their clubs - but it's better for those who really want to go to exercise. Everything is always clean, it's not too crowded, and the staff is always friendly. It gets my thumbs up!

The first thing that turned me off was that the salesman was this sleezy geek that I went to high school with. The moment I walked in the front desk girl hands me a check that looks like it was from a monopoly game and said it was good for 300 bucks off their membership fee. I then had to sit through a 90 minute lecture on fitness with said high school nerd. His whole attitude was like "I've been exercising since the moment I left high school and now I get paid to brow beat fat people into joining this gym".

The whole sales pitch was a giant scam designed to make you think you have one something by being invited to tour their gym. Then they start out with a membership fee of 699 with dues of 85 per month. Then the guy kept lowering the price almost as if he was on a schedule until both prices wer about 5 bucks below LA Fitness. (the chain up the street) Then I'm supposed to jump for joy that I'm allowed to join such a top notch club for such an amazing price. Too bad my monopoly money was only good for 24 hours. I swear that guy was a used car salesman in a former life.

I went in to inquire about the membership and the man who took me around offered me $200 off their outrageous membership fee but it was only good for that hour. The facilities look really nice, but it's not worth the money and the shady business practice

This gym has an odd equipment layout (I've been to many over the years in several states and married to a gym owner at one point). I am moving out of state again - and it is less a painful to have a filling done than try to cancel your contract with them.

You would be better off hiring a person trainer or furnishing your own home gym vs. paying all their fees.
