My kids and travelled to Luray on spring break to check out this cavern. What a spectacular cavern compaired to some of the others I have visited. It was like a cathedral ceililng wherever you walked. Our favorite were the "fried egg". Definitely a good family spot and for those who are just in awe of nature.

Luray caverns is probably the most advertised and talked about of all the caverns int he area. I have to say that it is well founded. While not my favorite caverns in the area, it ranks highly and has a lot of unique features compared to others. Highly recommended.

The Luray Caverns were definitely a sight all should see. They are very well excavated and the tour was fantastic. It is just a short drive from the Washington DC area, and I would reccommend it to families or just those out for a day trip. They also have an old car collection museum which is quite impressive, and your ticket to the caverns gets you in for free. It is pricey, 19.00 for an adult, and I believe 15.00 for children and seniors.

This was a great experience for my family and I. The tour was 1 hour long and just the right amount of time for a 4 and 2 yr old. The walk is not very strenuous and there are only steps at the beginning of the tour to get into the caves and then at the end to go back up. The cave trail is safe and paved and easy to traverse. Our guide was very informative and helpful. The caves are amazing and I would definately return again. Their prices are a little higher than other caves in the area but it is safe and easy, especially if you have little children.
