My fianc and I had never been to a B&B before so this was our first time! The house was beautiful! We arrived and were shown to our room which by a very nice lady who is also the cook. The kitchen smelled wonderful. The room was comfy and inviting! We were also there to attend the murder mystery. It was one of the most enjoyable things I??ve ever done. We laughed all night long. Everyone plays a part and the hostess played this mean, stern German SS Officer. She was very funny and kept changing her accent from German to Russian. Breakfast the next morning was fantastic as well....all and all I would say this is a great B&B. My fianc and I will be back we loved it so much!

Pros: Murder Mystery Dinner Party

Cons: When other guests are rude.

We arrived to a very rundown area. We parked on the street because there was no parking lot. There was no warm greeting when we entered the building and we were ushered into a backroom by someone who failed to introduce themselves. She requested payment and passed out character clues. She led us upstairs to our rooms and quickly disappeared. The closet in the wedding suite was full of lumber and supplies. Outside, on what used to be a balcony, was more lumber. While exploring upstairs everyone began experiencing respiratory problems which worsened the longer we remained. I felt like there was string in my throat and we were coughing and having trouble breathing. We thought perhaps it was a cleaning product or dust. It was becoming very uncomfortable so we returned downstairs for a drink to clear our throats and spent the next 45 minutes mostly outside.
For hors d??oeuvres they served chips, salsa, taquitos, cheese sticks, mini quiches, and bagel bites - your typical Sam??s club ware. We then went to the ??library? for the ??cocktail party? where we met our hostess. At dinner our hostess did a lot of berating of the guests and staff. Ordering us to position our silverware and pass plates around in a certain way that pleased her. She scolded my character for not hiring adequate staff. Some was in character however, IMO she should spend more time endearing herself to her guests rather than scolding everyone. Characters aside, there is still room for being welcoming and complimentary instead of being nasty & snooty.
Later she tells a story about how a guest was stung by a wasp and had to depart. She says they had to spray the upstairs with insecticide to kiII the nest. Holy Crud! This is why we were having trouble breathing. We had been p0is0ned and NO ONE thought we should be informed. I was furious and was having a difficult time sitting there. I was telling my pals that I needed to leave and she scolded and shushed me. I was still stewing, talking low and trying to remain calm but she turned back to us so I quickly left the room. The hostess came out a short time later to get me to return but also continuing to scold. She informed us that the 80+ year old people in the room could not hear - which had more to do with people needing to speak up and not because of us. I was attempting to explain but she would not hear anything. She never once asked about my wellbeing. I finally told her to return to her guests and that I was not going back in. I had to tell her several times before she shut her hole and left.
To conclude this, I don??t even let my husband spray for insects outside our house. I dislike poisons far more than I am worried about an insect bite and with breastfeeding it is even more of a concern. I had no clue that I was breathing in toxins at that blinkin' place.
